The airing schedule for Star Wars Rebels season 4 has been released. The Disney XD series is just a couple weeks away from coming back to the airwaves and fans now know the definitive broadcast times for the upcoming new episodes so we do not miss any installment on the animated show's final outing.

Last April during this year's Star Wars Celebration in Florida, it was announced that Rebels' fourth season will be its last alongside our first peek on the promised action-pack finale that will most likely seal the fates of some of our favorite Ghost crew members. Those who were in attendance were also treated to the early screening of the season premiere, which we now believe, thanks to the episodic title release, revolves around Sabine and her Mandalorian people. From there on, however, it is difficult to gauge just how EP Dave Filoni is looking to close out such an incredible run for the prequel animated show.

The information has come from the official Star Wars website, where the previously announced air dates and titles for the first few episode titled have been re-confirmed together with the additional details as to what we can expect past the front half of the season. As it turns out, after the initial five weeks, Rebels will take on a holiday hiatus before it comes back for the last installments left for the series. "Following a holiday break, Star Wars Rebels will be back in early 2018 for its final run of episodes leading up to the top-secret series finale," the announcement said. You can see the schedule below:

  • Monday, 10/16 – “Heroes of Mandalore”  Parts 1 & 2
  • Monday, 10/23 – “In the Name of the Rebellion” Parts 1 & 2
  • Monday, 10/30 – “The Occupation” and “Flight of the Defender”
  • Monday, 11/6 – “Kindred” and “Crawler Commandeers”
  • Monday, 11/13 – “Rebel Assault”

Additionally, fans can also catch  Rebels multiple times every Monday for new episodes. The timeslots are as follows: 12:30 AM ET, 3:00 AM ET, 7:30 AM ET, 5:30 PM ET and 9:00 PM ET. Meanwhile, StarWars.com’s own episodic post-mortem series titled Rebels Recon which deals with some behind-the-scenes series will be uploaded immediately after the 9:00 p.m. ET broadcast.

This clears up earlier theories that Star Wars Rebels could wrap up before Star Wars: The Last Jedi even hits theaters. Normally, we would only get two-in-one outings during the season premiere and finale, but with the new schedule, fans will be treated to two episodes weekly for a majority of the season's first half. While Lucasfilm has not explained the reason for this, it is more likely that this is solely due to storytelling purposes. Given that Rebels only runs for 30 minutes and some narratives cannot simply be chucked in a single installment, the folks behind the show decided to group some of them by twos.
