There are many aspects to Star Wars: Rebels that have gone underappreciated over the years, including the number of fantastic Star Wars quotes the show produces. Most of the main characters have a few memorable quotes, with at least one of them able to sum up their great personalities.

These quotes immediately sum up at least a portion of their personality and character journey, displaying either their key traits or giving a summation, in their own words, about their journey in the show.

Maul

"Lost. I Am Lost. Yet I-I Can Feel His Presence, So Close. So Close! I Can… See Him… In My Mind's Eye. Kenobi. KENOBI!"

Maul screaming out Kenobi's name

In only a few episodes, Maul makes a giant impact on Rebels, acting as the other main antagonist for the season alongside Thrawn and doing so wonderfully. This quote sums up not only who he is but pretty much his journey in Star Wars.

All he cares about, all he has ever truly cared about, in all honesty, is getting to Obi-Wan and killing him. He is lost, a character with quite a tragic life, but who is driven by Kenobi and the thought of killing him. The two have the best rivalry in Star Wars, and it is an absolute joy to see it come to such a spectacular end in Rebels.

Captain Rex

"You're Gonna Need All Of Them."

Rex tells Kallus that he, Wolffe, and Gregor wont back down from a fight with the Empire in Star Wars Rebels

Captain Rex surprised many with his appearance in Rebels, but he proved to be just as fantastic in this show as in The Clone Wars. This line to Kallus, who threatens to send stormtroopers to kill him, Wolffe, and Gregor, is a good look into Rex.

He is fearless, revered, and an incredible leader, but what stands out here is his willingness to fight, not just for what is right but for his brothers and his new friends. Rex is someone fans are excited to see more of, to see the gaps between Clone Wars and Rebels filled in.

Ahsoka Tano

"I'm No Jedi."

Ahsokabattles Darth Vader with her lightsaber in Star Wars: Rebels.

There has yet to be a piece of Star Wars content where Ahsoka Tano appears and is not a standout aspect. She is simply incredible consistently, and this line spoken to Darth Vader during their astonishing duel is Ahsoka's most iconic.

The quote is more than just a badass line; it is a rejection from Ahsoka of the Jedi title. She is on her path. Ahsoka's life revolves around the Force and helping those who need help. She is unafraid to defy some of the stringent aspects of the Jedi Code, which at this moment include avenging her brother.

Alexsandr Kallus

"I Never Asked Questions."

Agent Kallus' new Rebel look on Star Wars Rebels

Alexsandr Kallus quietly goes through Rebels as one of its most consistent and underrated characters, with one of the truly best redemption stories in Star Wars. This quote sums up that journey.

Kallus was an ISB agent, a cruel member of the Empire with the typical Nazi-esque mindset associated with them. This quote concerns the missing Geonosian population and shows Kallus' ignorance of some of the Empire's atrocities. When Kallus does open his eyes to what the Empire is and what the rebels are doing, he defects, and it is amazing to watch unfold.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

"To Defeat An Enemy You Myst Know Them. Not Simply Their Battle Tactics, But Their History, Philosophy, Art."

Grand Admiral Thrawn studies planets in Star Wars Rebels

Grand Admiral Thrawn is a treasure trove of terrific, articulate quotes, many of which sum up not only his intelligence as a Star Wars villain but his unique thought process. This one probably does that best, though.

Thrawn does not just say this line in passing, but he employs it in his strategy. As shown by his time on Lothal and Ryloth, Thrawn is thoroughly knowledgeable about the planets' history, culture, ideals, and art. Being well-versed in these subjects makes him even more dangerous and one of the most interesting villains in the saga.

Garazeb Orrelios

"It's Just Something About The Feel Of Their Helmets On My Fists."

Zeb fights an Imperial droid in tar Wars Rebels

Zeb may not be the member of the Specters with the most emotional exploration or most significant character arc. Still, he is a necessary part of the show with brilliant dynamics and much to offer. His time in the show can be summed up by this line.

While he unveils the turmoil of losing and regaining the Lasat people, he spends most of the show itching to both do good and take out bucket-heads at every opportunity. This quote showcases his love for the latter in typical Zeb fashion.

Sabine Wren

"Everything I Did Was For Family!"

Kanan trains Sabine to use the Darksaber in Star Wars Rebels

It took a while for Sabine's character to get going in Rebels, but the show was better for it when it did. This line comes in the middle of an emotional monologue unleashed on Kanan, and it sums up who Sabine is deep down, underneath the shield.

Sabine adores her family; both her blood back on Mandalore and the Ghost family. She struggles daily with the idea that she causes or caused them pain. This quote and the entire speech it is part of display both of these ideas. While she may present herself as a loner and someone untrusting with a lack of deep emotion, she is full of not just love but trauma. Her journey in the show sees her come out of her shell and embrace her family despite her insecurities and fear, and it is beautiful.

Hera Syndulla

"If All You Do Is Fight For Your Own Life, Then Your Life Is Worth Nothing."

Hera Syndulla doing a thumbs up in SW Rebels

The brilliance of Hera Syndulla's character cannot get overstated. Not only is she such an essential part of Rebels, but of the overall rebellion, her selfless story is phenomenal, and this line sums it up.

Hera's entire life has been spent fighting. Not aimlessly. Not selfishly. But for those who need to be fought for. For her friends and family. For peace, justice, and happiness in the Galaxy. Hera never rests, she never stops fighting, she is an inspirational badass.

Ezra Bridger

"It Won't Be Easy. There Will Be Loss & Sacrifice. But We Can't Back Down Just Because We're Afraid. That's When We Need To Stand The Tallest… Stand Up Together. Because That's When We're Strongest - As One."

Ezra fights off Imperials with help from the Loth-Cats in Star Wars rebels

While Ezra was pretty uninspiring as Rebels' main protagonist at the start of the show, he grew into a character not only worthy of the role, but of the adoration, he has gained since. This quote helps put into words what the character goes through.

When audiences first meet Ezra, he is a lone wolf, naturally skilled and powerful in the Force, but alone. But, as he meets the Specters, Ezra finds a family and learns that he does not need to be alone; he does not need to fight alone. Fighting as a family, fighting as one, that is how to defeat the Empire, is an ideal employed by the rebels on a large scale and in the show. Ezra used to be hotheaded, cocky, and an individual who wanted to charge through himself. Ezra learned to appreciate the many over the individual.

Kanan Jarrus

"You Were Right. I Was A Coward. But Now I Know There's Something Stronger Than Fear. Far Stronger; The Force."

Kanan fights the Grand Inquisitor in Star Wars Rebels

Kanan Jarrus may well be the best Jedi of the new canon. He is genuinely outstanding from start to finish, and his journey as a character in the Force is awe-inspiring. His learning to accept himself, let go of his fear, and trust the Force is shown in this line.

This is directed to the Grand Inquisitor during their ultimate duel and pretty much kickstarted Kanan's story in the Force as he learns to trust in it for strength, knowledge, wisdom, and even sight. Kanan has to learn to let go of his fear of the past and his failure, which leads him to become the Jedi he is when he makes the ultimate sacrifice.
