Star Wars Rebels Returns to the Jedi Temple in New Clip & Images

SPOILERS for Star Wars Rebels ahead.

A preview and promo stills for next week's Star Wars Rebels have been released. Following a jam-packed two-episode mid-season premiere, the Disney XD show will continue the Ghost crew's adventure, albeit without Kanan, who died in the last episode.

Unfortunately, the crew won't have the luxury to mourn the death of their longtime friend with the predicament that they currently in. Even Hera, who obviously has the hardest time in coping with his death, couldn't allow herself to break down because she knows that there is still a mission waiting for them to be fulfilled. And the best way to honor his sacrifice is to make sure that they are able to do finish their goal. With that in mind, Ezra and the team heads back to the Jedi temple in Lothal.

Next Monday, Rebels will continue their two-episode offering per week with "Wolves and a Door" and  "A World Between Worlds." Lucasfilm has officially released a promo pack for the aforementioned offerings including a short preview (which you can watch above), along with some promo stills seen in the gallery below.

Additionally, short episode guides were released, giving us some hints as to what awaits the Ghost crew in the mysterious Jedi Temple. For the first half, "Ezra leads the Ghost crew back to the Jedi Temple on Lothal where they discover that the Empire has diabolical plans for the powerful secrets it holds." In the second half, "the other rebels engage the Imperial forces outside the Jedi Temple, [as] Ezra gains access inside and experiences a stunning revelation." Considering that it was the same temple where he got his Kyber crystal, we presume that his journey inside it will have something to do with the deepening spiritual themes that Rebels is really diving into in these last few outings.

After the upcoming week, only two episodes, including a one-hour finale, are left before Rebels officially wraps up its brilliant four-year run. That said, it feels like there are still a lot of questions that need answering including Ahsoka's continued absence and the ultimate fates of some of our heroes (and villains such as Grand Admiral Thrawn). Despite the current status of the show's narrative, executive producer Dave Filoni promises fans that everything will make sense once the series finally finishes.
