Ahsoka Tano is not a Jedi. She not only showed this by leaving the Jedi Order, but through her iconic quote in Star Wars: Rebels. However, just because she does not align with the Jedi Order does not mean she is not a prime example of what a Jedi should be in the Star Wars Galaxy, something which is shown through a variety of excellent quotes by the Togruta.

Between her appearances in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Mandalorian, Ahsoka has some incredible lines that make audiences believe she is the best Jedi in the saga, despite her rejecting the title.

When She Learns The Truth About Galactic Politics

"The Politics Of This War Are Not As Black And White As I Once Thought."

Ahsoka and Padmé together in The Clone Wars

"Heroes On Both Sides" is an important Clone Wars episode in which Ahsoka learns this valuable lesson thanks to her close friend Padmé, a lesson that other of her fellow Jedi could have benefited from.

It takes a lot to admit being wrong, and even more to accept a whole new idea of the Galaxy because of it, using it to do good and fight for what is right. That is precisely what Ahsoka does here, something that is expected from anyone getting called the best Jedi in Star Wars.

When She Tells Ezra That They Both Need To Let Go

"You Can't Save Your Master, And I Can't Save Mine. I'm Asking You To Let Go."

Ezra and Ahsoka in the World Between Worlds in Star Wars Rebels.

In "A World Between Worlds," Ahsoka has to convince Ezra not to save the life of Kanan and does so by painfully admitting herself that she is in the same boat as him; she cannot save her Master, her friend.

It takes tremendous strength from Ahsoka to admit that she is incapable of saving Anakin in one of her best quotes from Rebels. She has to let go of him. Even though it causes her incredible hurt, her ability to do so is another example of her being what a Jedi should be. She formed a bond, and it did not hinder her abilities, nor did it drag her to the dark side. She loved Anakin but knew when it was time to let go.

Her Defiance In The Face Of Her Superiors

"Wait! Just Because There Hasn't Been Survivors Before Doesn't Mean There Won't Be Any This Time."

Anakin and Ahsoka go searching for Plo Koon and his clones in The Clone Wars

Even though Ahsoka is not the best character in the early seasons of The Clone Wars, she has some great moments. That includes this quote that showcases early her potential to be one of the best Jedi in the saga when she is determined to go look for Plo Koon.

The Jedi are often criticized for their lack of humanity and their willingness to let things happen. Ahsoka and Anakin do not do this and are eager to go after Master Plo when he goes missing. Ahsoka's line may get viewed by the likes of Mace as defiance, but it is seen as bravery and selflessness by audiences.

Her Respect For The Force's Complexities

"In My Experience, Just When You Think You Understand The Force You Realize Just How Little You Know."

Ahsoka finds Ezra at Chopper Base so they can leave for Malachor in Star Wars Rebels

The best Jedi in Star Wars, such as Yoda, Luke, and Qui-Gon, have an incredible respect for the Force, and a constant willingness to learn from it, something Ahsoka displays here.

Like Ahsoka, audiences are always finding themselves two steps behind in understanding the Force, and it is best that way. Despite its complexities, Ahsoka's trust in the Force points to her being on par with the legendary Jedi mentioned above, at the very least.

Her Refusal To Kill Clones

"You're A Good Soldier Rex. So Is Every One Of Those Men Down There. They May Be Willing To Die, But I Am Not Going To Be The One Who Kills Them."

Ahsoka consoles an upset Rex while saying she refuses to kill the other clones in The Clone Wars

To Ahsoka, every individual in the Force matters, their lives are all worth living, and she will not take it from them if she can help it. This is best depicted by her refusal to kill Jesse and his clones during Order 66, despite Rex telling her they will kill them.

The care for life that Ahsoka displays here is what audiences expect of every Jedi. It is another example of how Ahsoka proves to be the prime example of what a Jedi should be, even though she rejected the title. She understands the clones are not in control, whereas other Jedi would be, and were, willing to take them all out.

Her Badass Line In The Mandalorian

"They Already Suffer Under Your Rule. Surrender Or Face The Consequences. You Have One Day To Decide."

Ahsoka Tano holds her white sabers In The Mandalorian

Ahsoka's appearance in The Mandalorian got fans more excited for her upcoming Disney+ series. With help from Dave Filoni's writing, she was brilliant, and so typically Ahsoka with lines like this.

Ahsoka is always so willing and ready to fight for those who need it, acting as a voice for the voiceless. She could have gone in looking for information on Thrawn like she wanted, but she helped an entire village of people. That is who Ahsoka is, and that is who all Jedi should aspire to be.

Her Inspirational Message

"You Don't Have To Carry A Sword To Be Powerful, Some Leaders' Strength Is Inspiring Others."

Ahsoka aides Prince Lee Char on Mon Cala in The Clone Wars

One of the many roles of a Jedi is inspiring people, and often this is best done through messages that allow that individual to inspire others, which is what Ahsoka does here.

Ahsoka gives Prince Lee-Char the courage and determination to rally his people. Despite his lack of military skill, he can inspire his people, and Ahsoka brings out the best of that from him with this beautiful message.

Her Message To Mandalorian Cadets About Accountability

"It's Every Citizens Duty To Challenge Their Leaders, To Keep Them Honest, And Hold Them Accountable If They're Not."

Ahsoka teaches Mandalorian cadets including Korkie, Amos, and Lagos about corruption, and how citizens must hold leaders accountable in The Clone Wars

When Ahsoka takes a class teaching the Mandalorian cadets, she delivers a crucial message about accountability that rings true in real life just as much as it does in Star Wars. This quote is another showcase of Ahsoka's brilliance in the Galaxy far, far away.

The Jedi of the time all seem to have differing opinions on the war and Galactic politics. Still, they should all have this viewpoint on leadership no matter how they feel about political intricacies. Audiences see Ahsoka challenge the Jedi Order, challenge military generals, and even challenge Anakin and Palpatine. She not only talks about accountability but puts it into action, which is crucial.

Voicing Public Opinion On The Jedi

"This Is Why People Have Lost Faith In The Jedi. I Had, Too, Until I Was Reminded Of What The Jedi Means To People Who Truly Need Us."

Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin SKywalker during Clone Wars

It seems strange to say that a quote criticizing the Jedi acts as evidence that Ahsoka is the best Jedi, but it is simply the truth, she is not blind to the flaws of the Jedi, but unlike Dooku or Barriss, she does not fall to the dark side because of it.

Ahsoka has lost faith in the Jedi Order as it is during the Clone Wars - and nobody can blame her; they abandoned her, one of the worst things Ahsoka endures. But, as a whole, she understands the importance of the Jedi to the average citizen, which is who she cares most about, as all Jedi should.

The True Purpose Of A Jedi

"In My Life, When You Find People Who Need Help, You Help Them No Matter What."

Ahsoka, Trace, and Rafa argue in the Pyke jail cell in The Clone Wars

The Martez sisters arc in The Clone Wars may get lambasted by some, but it is a hugely important story for Ahsoka and contains this quote which pretty much sums her up.

Ahsoka may not be a Jedi, but she lives as all Jedi should live, to help all those who ask for or need help. Through The Clone Wars, the time of the Empire, the time of rebellion, and beyond, Ahsoka's life is lived for others. She is wise, selfless, and respects each individual in the Force as all Jedi should, but not all tend to do.
