Let's make a list of things we know about filmmaker Quentin Tarantino; he's a revolutionary, iconic director: check. He's made it known for years that he's only going to make ten films: check. His last movie, Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood, was not only a financial and critically acclaimed success, but was also his ninth film: check. Which means that he's only got one more to go... unfortunately, check.

While the eccentric Hollywood story-teller is wrapped up in rumors about potentially boarding the U.S.S. Enterprise for his final go-around in the director's chair, here's a list of 10 other film franchises that Tarantino could use the last bullet in his chamber on. (Every movie on this list would be rated R.)

Star Wars

Wookie, mother-f***er, do you speak it? The title of the article may have given this first one away, but it doesn't make it any less true. Tarantino has used a nearly endless arsenal of imaginative weapons throughout his cinematic career, including flamethrowers, dynamite, baseball bats, car-crashes, a custom-made Hattori Hanzo sword, a Five-Point-Palm Exploding Heart Technique, and a lot of guns - just imagine what he could do with blasters, light-sabers, and force battles. Disney has yet to let the powerhouse franchise make an R rated film, but with their release of The Mandalorian on Disney+, perhaps they could be nudged in that direction with the help of some Jedi mind tricks. Why, yes, this is the filmmaker we were looking for.

Terminator/Alien/Predator

It's not hard to see why Tarantino would be a no-brainer for any of these franchises. While his films include a bit more humor, his imagination for violence and gore would be limitless in a semi-monster series like any of the three listed and he'd certainly have a field day with the Predator's/Terminator's advanced weaponry or the Alien's acid-spray (not to mention that all of these franchises are already rated R.)

But while we're dreaming, why not go big? Instead of  Tarantino only directing one of these franchises, let him combine the three into a gigantic Alien vs. Predator vs. Terminator blockbuster and have him blow the collective cinematic community's minds! That's definitely wishful-thinking, but Tarantino's one of the only directors crazy enough to pull it off.

Marvel

Quentin Tarantino is undoubtedly an amazing filmmaker, but it wouldn't be a stretch to admit that his particular style of movie-making might not have fit so well into the MCU's: Infinity Saga. But that era of Marvel is over and they've entered a completely different one with the purchase of Fox and their announced future projects. And again, Tarantino still might not be the perfect choice for some of their slated movies, but he would absolutely be a top-contender for two confirmed R-rated, katana-wielding, martial artists in the future MCU: Deadpool or Blade. Do you remember the Kill Bill volumes? Can you imagine what Tarantino could do with a Marvel sized budget? We doubt it since it's probably too crazy to comprehend.

James Bond/Jason Bourne

Basically any movie about a bad-ass spy whose initials are J.B., but let's think about this one for a moment. Daniel Craig has made it clear that the next Bond movie will be his last and Matt Damon has cast doubt on whether he'll return to the Bourne series (despite it having multiple projects in the works.)

So wouldn't it be a great way to reboot either of these franchises by bringing in a veteran filmmaker? Both of these characters are masters of firearms and sly remarks, and those are two things that Tarantino knows his way around pretty well.

Pixar

Hear. Us. Out. There are dozens of Hollywood franchises that could've made their way onto this list, but one of the least expected was the classic family-friendly, animated children's series that has been around for almost 25 years. But that's exactly the point: Pixar has been around for 25 years. They've now made almost that many films (21 to be exact), the children who grew up watching them are in their late 20's/early 30's, and they all still love Pixar movies. Is it outlandish to think that the 18-34 age demographic wouldn't want to see one of the most renowned directors of all time create a movie in one of the most beloved franchises of all time? Nobody would see it coming; that's all we're saying.

Jurassic Park

Read this statement out loud: Quentin Tarantino plus dinosaurs. Carnage doesn't even begin to describe it. With the prehistoric franchise beginning with a three-time Oscar winner, maybe a fitting direction would be to hand it off to a two-time Oscar winner (check back on that number after this award season).

Tarantino's style, of course, differs from the action-adventure genre that Jurassic Park tends to fall into, but with an R rating it's fair game to assume that action-adventure would get bumped to horror pretty quickly with T-Rex's and velociraptors in the picture.

Final Destination/Saw

Did you expect to have a list of potential film franchises for the master of blood and gore and not see a horror series at some point? To be fair it wouldn't have to necessarily be Final Destination or Saw, it could be any horror movie franchise that didn't involve ghosts (not a lot of blood involved with ghosts). But with franchises such as these two, which are built more on the fear of being gruesomely disemboweled in a freak accident or by a serial killer, Tarantino would fit in perfectly. Hell, one of his movies was about a serial killer whose weapon was a death-proof car. Like a glove.

Rocky/Creed

Tarantino may have many talents, but athletics have never seemed like they're very high up on his list of priorities. Throughout his nine films, he hardly makes any sports references at all (other than The Bear Jew caving in Nazi's skulls with a baseball bat).

However, that doesn't mean that Tarantino wouldn't be able to create a sports movie masterpiece, and with a franchise like Rocky/Creed, with two actors like Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, it could be a knock out punch. There also hasn't been an R-rated Rocky/Creed movie yet, which means a lot of Tarantino's famous blood could hit the mat.

DC

It's no secret that DC is known as the darker among the major comic book film franchises, but that's all the more reason why Tarantino would be perfect for a DC movie. Not a DCEU movie, a DC movie. Todd Phillips' billion-dollar, Oscar-buzzing Joker film has solidified that DC movies can compete with the best of them, as long as they stay far away from the DCEU. And since Tarantino is indeed one of the best of them when it comes to directors, and he's never shied away from a dark story-line before, it wouldn't be too far off to think he could shock the world with a comic book adaptation. Does anybody want to go see The Batman Who Laughs movie directed by Quentin Tarantino? We know you do now.

His Own (create one)

George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, James Cameron. What do these directors have in common besides residing atop G.O.A.T. mountain? They all began one of the franchises listed above with a single movie. And with Quentin Tarantino undeniably having a seat atop G.O.A.T. mountain himself, what's stopping him from making a completely new film franchise? His movies have never been big-budget and none of them have had a sequel besides Kill Bill, but it would be an unforgettable way to close out a hall-of-fame worthy career by making a movie that would inspire sequels and future filmmakers for years to come. Regardless of how Tarantino chooses to hang up the camera reel, he'll forever be remembered as one of cinema's greatest directors.
