Hayden Christensen shares his reaction with Screen Rant to a few of the many popular Star Wars prequel trilogy theories. Christensen has made his return to the Star Wars galaxy for the first time since 2005 with Obi-Wan Kenobi, where he stars alongside old friend Ewan McGregor to portray Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. The actor has since shared his own enthusiasm for the franchise as well as the era in which he starred, something that's been revitalized within him thanks to enthusiastic audiences.

One of the most exciting things Star Wars viewers learned about Christensen heading into Obi-Wan Kenobi is that the actor got himself caught up on all the animated content that has filled the gap between Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and now. This includes the fan-favorite series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Watching these shows has no doubt given Christensen an even deeper look into the prequel Star Wars era, as he's now gotten to witness the revival of Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano's apprenticeship with Anakin, and the deep ties between the Jedi Generals and their clone armies.

Now, in an exclusive Screen Rant interview from Star Wars Celebration, Christensen reacts to popular Star Wars prequels fan theories. On the Star Wars Celebration red carpet, Christensen said he was "excited to see" that Darth Maul survived, one of the few fan theories that turned out to be true. He also gave his opinion on Mace Windu possibly being alive and Sith Jar Jar, which you can watch and read below:

SR: Do you think Mace Windu could still possibly be alive?

Hayden Christensen: Anything's possible, I suppose. I don't know. I think I gave him a good cut, though. But yeah, anything's possible.

SR: Did you ever read the extensive Reddit theory that Jar Jar Binks was secretly a Sith lord the entire time?

Hayden Christensen: [Laughs] I have. I've seen a very disturbing image of a Sith Jar Jar. I liked it. I thought it was cool. I don't know if that's the character, though.

On Mace Windu not likely being alive, Ewan McGregor also told us the same. Samuel L. Jackson however, believes Mace Windu is alive out there in the galaxy somewhere. George Lucas agrees.

It's always great to see the actors get into and engage with fan theories, especially with a franchise like Star Wars. It's clear to see the passion Christensen has always had for his character, but also his passion for the greater Star Wars galaxy. His dive into the animated series as well as his return to the screen has only deepened his connection to the franchise, which is great news for all Star Wars audiences. This has even led Christensen to publicly express interest in a Vader series, leaving the possibility for Christensen to join quite a few other Star Wars projects after Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Between the release of Clone Wars season 7 in 2020 and Obi-Wan Kenobi, the prequel Star Wars trilogy has finally gained all the praise it deserves from the franchise's audiences. Both Christensen and McGregor have said that seeing the generation they made the films for grow up and share their favorable opinions of the prequel trilogy has greatly impacted them and their own views of Star Wars as a whole. Christensen engaging with fan theories shows the depth of his love and appreciation for Star Wars. Maybe one day, audiences will get to see Christensen make at least one of these popular fan theories come true.
