The Star Wars galaxy is full of noble Jedi Knights serving as guardians of peace and justice. However, there are characters in other franchises who would be great members of the Jedi Order. In a galaxy that's constantly in need of those serving the light and will of the Force, some very strong candidates exist outside the galaxy far, far away who would have next to no problem wielding a lightsaber.

Existing for thousands of generations, members of the Jedi Order are dedicated to serving the will of the Force and protecting the innocent across the stars. Working in conjunction with the Republic, the Jedi Temple was based on Coruscant as seen in Star Wars' prequel trilogy. Using their abilities to seek knowledge and enlightenment more than anything else, the Jedi were also quite resilient and capable defenders when the need arose, such as when they became commanders and generals of the Republic's clone army at the dawn of The Clone Wars. Keeping that in mind, here are ten non-Star Wars characters who would make perfect Jedi Knights.

10 Aragorn Son Of Arathorn

Aragorn and Narsil in Lord of the Rings

Hailing from the books by J.R.R Tolkien and visually stunning movies from Peter Jackson, The Lord of the Rings' Aragon son of Arathorn would be an amazing Jedi Knight. The heir to the throne of Gondor, the future king tried to ignore his destiny before ultimately accepting his true path in Return of the King. This mirrors well with the Jedi Order's thoughts about destiny and the will of the Force for each individual it touches.

Furthermore, Aragon also wielded the reforged sword of legend named Anduril/Narsil. Also known as "The Flame of the West", Aragorn's sword is practically begging to be remade into a lightsaber. Aragorn also holds many of the qualities found in the most Jedi such as selflessness and the desire to protect others. However, his struggles with attachment to Arwen could mirror those a Jedi might have over the Jedi Order discouraging attachments of any kind.

9 Captain America

Undoubtedly, the MCU's Captain America would be a truly great Jedi Knight. Fiercely determined to fight for justice and freedom, Steve Rogers never gave up nor gave in to any new threats or darkness he and his fellow Avengers faced. Additionally, Captain America's leadership skills and experience would likely make him a strong Jedi Master, especially considering his mentoring of Wanda Maximoff following Avengers: Age of Ultron (before her corruption as the Scarlet Witch). Although the Jedi Order is driven by a strict code of ethics, Captain America's own personal moral compass would likely help him fit right in.

8 Shang-Chi

Shang-Chi would be another great MCU hero who could easily join Star Wars' Jedi Order. Not only would his skills as an incredible martial artist translate well to lightsaber combat, but he's incredibly disciplined and focused thanks to his training. Shang-Chi also possesses the Ten Rings, powerful weapons which require a very centered wielder who can manipulate and guide their energy, much like a Jedi does with the Force and their lightsaber which is meant to be an extension of their own body. Shang-Chi is also a lot like Luke Skywalker considering the darkness of their fathers who were both redeemed before their respective deaths.

7 Uncle Iroh

Avatar: The Last Airbender's Uncle Iroh would be an amazing Jedi Master. Much like Master Yoda, Iroh is incredibly wise, guiding young Prince Zuko while also possessing a more cryptic and often humorous characterization. Just as Yoda helped his apprentices overcome their failings and face their obstacles, Iroh sought to help his nephew find his own path rather than letting his future be dictated by the expectations of his father Firelord Ozai and the desire to gain his approval. Iroh was also extremely disciplined as a firebender, an indication that he'd be just as capable of wielding the Force in the Star Wars galaxy.

6 Jon Snow

A skilled swordsman and natural leader, Game of Thrones' Jon Snow could easily be a member of the Jedi Order. Having "taken the black" by joining the Night's Watch, Jon Snow's journey protecting Westeros from threats beyond The Wall is very similar to the mandates of the Jedi Order as guardians of peace and justice. Snow is incredibly resilient with a strong sense of honor, both of which are key Jedi traits in the Star Wars galaxy. As such, Jon Snow would excel as a Jedi Knight. It's also fun to imagine his dire wolf Ghost as a Star Wars Loth-wolf.

5 Batman

Batman 700 Cover DC Comics

Despite his use of darkness in his mission to achieve justice for Gotham, DC's Batman would be a rather compelling Jedi Knight all the same. Not only would his Robins transfer well as his Padawans in the Star Wars galaxy, but his controlled darkness resembles the combat styles employed by Jedi Master Mace Windu. Implementing a dangerous fighting style discouraged by Jedi Council due to its use of controlled aggression and the temptations of the dark side, Mace Windu would likely get along quite well with the Dark Knight as fellow members of the Jedi Order.

4 Snake Eyes

If you put a lightsaber in his hand and made him Force-sensitive, G.I Joe's Snake Eyes would already be a Jedi. A disciplined warrior expertly trained by the Arashikage Clan, Snake Eyes' career as a sword-wielding commando with G.I. Joe fighting Cobra would make him the perfect Clone Wars-era Jedi. Likewise, the Jedi Order and Arashikage are quite similar with each having experienced masters training new generations of warriors to help maintain peace and order in their respective universes.

3 Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime in Transformers_ Rise of the Beasts

Believing that "freedom is the right of all sentient beings", Transformers' Optimus Prime would certainly be a dedicated Jedi Master in the Star Wars galaxy. Possessing an unwavering sense of justice for all beings across the galaxy, Optimus is already a galactic guardian of peace of justice. Likewise, his leadership skills would make him a shoo-in for a seat on the Jedi Council (though it would have to be quite large). Additionally, Optimus Prime's possession of the Matrix of Leadership does grant him supernatural-esque abilities such as communing with leaders of the past and more unique powers (not unlike a Jedi's connection to the Force).

Link Legend of Zelda Age of Calamity Cover

A quintessential hero, The Legend of Zelda's Link would be a prime Jedi Knight. The wielder of the Master Sword and the prophesied Hero of Time, Link is an incredibly dedicated and loyal hero who seeks to save Princess Zelda in the ever-popular video game series from Nintendo. As such, he might as well be a Skywalker. After all, being connected to Hyrule's Triforce of Courage isn't so far off from being a Force-sensitive in the galaxy far, far away.

1 The Witcher

Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia wielding a sword in The Witcher Season 3

The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia would be quite the dynamic Jedi Knight, albeit one who might be considered a maverick like Qui-Gon Jinn. Trained since childhood to be a monster hunter much like Force-sensitive children who are taken to be trained by the Jedi Order, Geralt is an extremely capable swordfighter who also wields magical abilities as a Witcher, not unlike a Jedi's power through the Force. Although Geralt does possess a moral compass, it might not be as strict as those in the Jedi Order. Likewise, he'd probably struggle with the Order's mandates against forming attachments in the Star Wars galaxy (much like Anakin Skywalker).
