Warning: This article contains spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In the months leading up to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s premiere on Disney+, Star Wars fans were excited to see Ewan McGregor’s return to the role of the titular Jedi fugitive. And when the show finally arrived, McGregor’s warm yet nuanced, grizzled yet fun performance certainly didn’t disappoint. But what fans weren’t expecting was the surprise appearance of his scene-stealing scene partner Vivien Lyra Blair as a 10-year-old Leia Organa. Young Leia turned out to be the breakout star of Obi-Wan Kenobi, borrowing the spotlight from the eponymous hero whenever she was on-screen.

The recently released finale episode has left the door open for Blair to reprise her role as Leia in a future Star Wars project. From streaming series that have already been announced to unannounced projects that could be in development at Lucasfilm, there are many places that Blair’s 10-year-old Leia might pop up next.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2

Although Obi-Wan Kenobi was initially conceived as a limited series, director Deborah Chow has still left the door open for a second season. Obi-Wan bids Leia farewell in the finale, but tells her there’s a chance they could reunite in the future. He jokingly tells her to give him a call if she ever needs “help from a tired old man.” This line set up Leia’s message to Obi-Wan in the original Star Wars movie, but she might need his help before then.

Blair’s chemistry with Ewan McGregor was so strong and the two characters developed such a heartwarming relationship that Star Wars fans would gladly watch them go on a couple more intergalactic adventures together.

Andor

The next Star Wars streaming series, set to premiere on August 31, is Andor. It’s possible that, in terms of young Leia’s arc, the finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi will lead directly into Andor. Centered around the Rebel spy of the same name from Rogue One, Andor will chronicle the early days of the Rebellion from a ground-level perspective. Obi-Wan Kenobi took place in 9 BBY and Andor will reportedly take place in 5 BBY, a little closer to the events of the original trilogy. Andor could pick up with young Leia’s adventures a couple of years down the line.

At the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi, she pledged to use her royal power to make some changes. Andor could show the changes she was talking about. Now that she’s seen what the Imperial forces are capable of, Leia might sacrifice some regal luxuries in order to provide the Rebels with more troops and weapons for their fight against the Empire.

An Alderaan Series

Although Star Wars fans feared they were in for another Tatooine-centric series after seven sandy episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, Deborah Chow ended up taking them all over the galaxy throughout Obi-Wan Kenobi’s run. This included the neon-drenched streets of Daiyu, Vader’s creepy fortress on Mustafar, and an immersive, in-depth look at Leia’s home planet of Alderaan.

At the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Leia was happy to be back at home, ready to embrace her duties as a princess and affect real change on Alderaan. She could play a major role in a Disney+ series about the doomed utopian paradise of Alderaan being disturbed by Imperial intervention. Obi-Wan Kenobi just scratched the surface of one of the most visually interesting and narratively crucial planets in the Star Wars saga.

Ahsoka

Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano in Book of Boba Fett

Ahsoka Tano’s upcoming spin-off series is set in the same post-Return of the Jedi timeline as The Mandalorian, when Leia is all grown up. But the series is expected to have flashbacks to Ahsoka’s adventures across the Star Wars timeline, particularly as an ex-Jedi ronin in a post-Purge world. These flashbacks could forge a relationship between Anakin’s former apprentice and his estranged 10-year-old daughter. Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin. His appearance will most likely be relegated to Clone Wars-era flashbacks and a post-Return of the Jedi ghostly presence, but he could be stepping back into the Vader suit, too.

The series is being pioneered by Ahsoka’s co-creator, Dave Filoni, who has always done a great job handling legacy characters from the movies. In The Book of Boba Fett, Filoni introduced Ahsoka to Luke Skywalker in the midst of trying to rebuild the Jedi Order. In her forthcoming spin-off, she could meet young Leia in the Empire’s heyday.

Her Own Spin-Off

Young Leia could show up in someone else’s spin-off, but frankly, Blair is more than capable of leading a spin-off of her own. Obi-Wan Kenobi itself could’ve been called The Leia Show. Blair already stole every scene from Obi-Wan in his own series. She’s primed for her own spin-off. She even has a lovable sidekick in her droid, LOLA. Fans could watch Leia and LOLA explore new corners of Alderaan and journey across the galaxy in their own streaming series or even a movie.

With a show or movie about a 10-year-old Leia, the Mouse House has the chance to make a Disney Princess space opera. After the revisionist western antics of The Mandalorian and the grizzled Jedi antihero of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Leia spin-off would mark a welcome return to the traditionally lighthearted, adventure-driven tone of Star Wars stories.
