Mickey Mouse has the high ground in an hysterical Anakin & Obi-Wan Revenge of the Sith parody. The final film in the often-derided Star Wars prequels, Episode III marks the crucial point where Anakin Skywalker chooses evil over good.

Today, some fifteen years after Revenge of the Sith first arrived in theaters, the general opinion toward the prequels has softened somewhat. Because of the nature of Episode III, it was a film that always had more than its share of hype surrounding it. Fans were very eager to see exactly what went down when Anakin made the final move from Jedi in training to one of the greatest villains in cinematic history. Perhaps it was for this reason why Revenge of the Sith is still viewed by many fans in a far more positive light than the other two prequel films. Nonetheless, there are still countless fans who feel that Revenge of the Sith didn’t manage to correctly deliver the momentous occasion where Obi-Wan Kenobi learns that his protégé has chosen the dark side. As a result, what some saw as the hammy tone of the prequels has since left the films open to a variety of online jabs, mockery and countless memes.

There has certainly been no shortage of Star Wars memes as of late, particularly since Baby Yoda’s arrival on the scene. However, few can resist a good altering of the final battle sequence between Obi-Wan and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. The internet has been bombarded with these types of edits over the course of the past fifteen years, but the latest creative interpretation of the famed scene manages to reference the Star Wars franchise’s newest studio-mates, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. You can check out the hilarious results below, courtesy of Twitter user Dennie Bright:

It is indeed bizarre to hear Donald Duck’s raspy voice coming from the mouth of Anakin Skywalker as he battles to the death with a Mickey Mouse sounding Obi-Wan. For those who had trouble taking this momentous battle scene seriously before, one look at this new take will make seeing it in the same light ever again an impossibility. Hilarious indeed, but there’s even something slightly eerie about the sound of two of Disney’s most iconic characters dropped right into the middle of one of cinema’s most renowned battles. And while everyone is sure to have their own favorite moment from the altered video, it’s hard to deny that Anakin/Donald Duck’s final scream before the clip ends is the stuff of legend.

As funny as the video is, however, it’s not quite perfect. The Donald Duck impression is arguably as close to the original as is to be expected. Unfortunately, the Mickey Mouse impression is lacking somewhat, missing the mark on what would otherwise be the perfect infusion of Disney and Star Wars. It’s all in good fun, of course, and it opens up the prospect of more prequel clips through a Disney filter.
