Brie Larson confirms she auditioned for all of the new Star Wars movies. Larson is best known for playing Carol Danvers, the female fighter pilot who became Captain Marvel in Captain MarvelAlthough Larson would go on to reprise her role in Avengers: Endgame after Captain Marvel had grossed $1 billion dollars worldwide, the actress has been candid about the numerous failed auditions she endured beforehand.

Back in 2015, Larson won the Best Actress for her role as a captive mother in the indie film, Room. 2015 happened to be the same year when The Force Awakens premiered, launching a new trilogy in the Star Wars franchise that introduced a new trio of heroes. The actress has made no secret of her love for the Star Wars franchise. Larson stated that she wanted to be a Jedi after she got to hold her Captain Marvel co-star Samuel L. Jackson's lightsaber prop from the prequel trilogy. She also auditioned for Rogue One, but obviously didn't get cast in that film either.

Larson has mentioned before that she auditioned for a Star Wars movie but didn't get the part. However, in a new video she posted on her YouTube channel, Larson confirmed that she actually auditioned for all of the new Star Wars movies. Check out what she had to say about several of her failed auditions below:

"I didn’t get Gossip Girl, and I’m really glad. I auditioned for Hunger Games and I didn’t get it. I auditioned for Tomorrowland and I didn’t get it. I auditioned for all of the new Star Wars movies and I didn’t get it. I don’t even know why I’m saying I didn’t get it. Like, you know I didn’t."

It's refreshing that Larson has been so honest about her past failed auditions. While Larson never mentioned what parts she auditioned for in any of the Star Wars movies, her persistence in the face of failure may have ultimately paid off. Not only will she obviously be reprising her role as Captain Marvel in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2, but there might also be a role for her to play in a future Star Wars film. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased last year that he already had a role in mind for a major actor in his upcoming Star Wars movie. While the major actor or actress in question has yet to be confirmed, Larson responded to Feige's Star Wars casting  statement by posting a picture of herself in full Jedi regalia, captioning the post with, "Did someone say Star Wars?"

It remains to be seen whether or not fans will end up seeing Larson in a Star Wars galaxy far, far away anytime soon. However, the actress's honesty about her determination in spite of her failures is inspiring. Much like Captain Marvel herself, Larson demonstrated through her experiences that tenacity and resolve are crucial keys to success, no lightsaber necessary.
