Star Wars scenes cut with Cardi B sound effects are absolutely hilarious. While Star Wars has always been beloved in pop culture ever since the original film was released in 1977, it saw a massive resurgence when Disney revived the franchise in 2015. The megastudio purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, but it wasn't until three years later that they began rolling out their plans for the future of Star Wars. In addition to releasing three additional Skywalker saga installments, Disney produced two spin-off films and has since begun developing several television shows for Disney+. The movies are currently on hiatus until 2023, when Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) will direct the next installment.

There are a lot of memorable elements to be found in Star Wars, from its characters to the lightsabers. One part of Star Wars that might sometimes go underappreciated, however, is its sound effects. Throughout its films, Star Wars has managed to create several distinctive sounds that fans can easily recognize even without any visuals. Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars without them, though this fan video certainly gives the franchise a shakeup with the help of Cardi B.

Rapper Cardi B is also well known for the unique sounds she makes, and over on social media, Omar Villegas decided to combine the two in hilarious fashion. Cardi supplies the noises for blaster bolts, lightsabers, and flying TIE fighters, among other things. Honestly, it's pretty amazing to see how well everything fits together. It's also really funny too. Check it out down below.

All of the clips used in the video come from the Disney era of Star Wars, which has proven to be incredibly controversial over the years. While the first two films, The Force Awakens and Rogue One, were positively received, things took a sharp turn with 2017's The Last Jedi as fans became incredibly divided over the choices made by director Rian Johnson. Since then, Disney's approach to Star Wars has been the subject of much debate and criticism.

Regardless of how one feels about the individual films, it's hard to deny that Star Wars remains a beloved piece of pop culture, and it's always delightful to see fans express their creativity through projects like the above video. There are loads of creative possibilities found in Star Wars - hence why the franchise is still ongoing despite the end of the Skywalker saga - and as the wait for the next film was recently extended by the release date delay from 2022 to 2023, fans will be looking to engage with the franchise in new ways. Star Wars with Cardi B might not be what someone would expect, but it's definitely a lot of fun.
