Four of these characters were introduced in Star Wars comics, making this a celebration of increased representation in comics as well. Check out the covers below:

Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters #1's variant is from Babs Tarr and will go on sale June 2. It features Doctor Aphra - an Indiana Jones-style archaeologist who is always ready to betray her allies. Doctor Aphra has starred in two of her own series, after being employed by Darth Vader himself in Star Wars: Darth Vader (2015). The Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #13 variant comes from Jacopo Camagni and is available June 9. This cover focuses on Yrica Quell, whose first appearance was in the miniseries TIE Fighter. She was also featured in the novel Alphabet Squadron. Yrica began her piloting career with the Empire, but eventually switched sides, joining the New Republic. Stephen Byrne is handling the Star Wars #14 variant, which will be released June 16. This variant features one of the best-known and most recognizable Star Wars characters in the line-up, Lando Calrissian. This is a particularly noteworthy inclusion as Lando has been suggested as being pansexual without there being official confirmation. Now, Star Wars and Marvel appear to be finally confirming this detail.

Releasing June 23 is the variant cover for Star Wars: Darth Vader #13, from J.J. Kirby. Rae Sloane is featured front and center on this cover, an Imperial officer who made her debut in the novel A New DawnStar Wars: Doctor Aphra #11's cover comes from Jan Bazaldua with colors by Rachelle Rosenberg, and features Sana Starros. She once pretended to be Han Solo's wife for a job, but has taken her own path, now working with Doctor Aphra. Star Wars: The High Republic #6's variant, coming June 30, is from Javier Garron, and stars twin Jedi Terec and Ceret, introduced in Star Wars: The High Republic. They are also the first trans, nonbinary characters in the Star Wars universe. While this series is just starting, the twins have been at the forefront of events and seem to just be starting their journeys within the galaxy. These covers are beautiful and successfully highlight and celebrate the diversity present in the Star Wars galaxy.
