A LEGO Mandalorian video shows a bloodier side to the Star Wars universe, putting Mando face-to-face with a brutal bounty. The Mandalorian is known for its high-flying action sequences. It's one of the things that has made the show so great, bringing it up to par even with some of the great action sequences in the various Star Wars films. With the first season blowing expectations out of the water, anticipation was high for the second season.

Luckily, Jon Favreau and co. were able to surpass the bar set by the first season. Every episode delivered a solid action set-piece, differing in variety and scope. Some saw Mando face off against otherworldly creatures and others saw him team up with fellow Mandalorians and even Ahsoka Tano, to great effect. One thing is always missing, though. The Mandalorian is a virtually blood-less show, save for the occasional bruise or battle wound. LEGO Mandalorian sees things a little differently, though.

A new video by forrestfire101 imagines a bloodier take on the show. The clip finds Mando pursuing a bounty on an unnamed planet. Mando confronts the bounty on a busy city street and the confrontation turns into a full on gunfight, complete with blood and guts. The bounty has some back up and Mando swiftly does away with them before capturing his target. Each one is dispatched in gory fashion before Grogu comes in to save the day with his Force powers.

The video's gorier take on Star Wars action is one that has not yet been used in the live-action films fans have seen. While there is a fair share of brutal deaths and lightsaber action, including limbs being severed and people being impaled, the films and series are largely free of blood. This has worked so far for the franchise, with the balancing of violence offscreen with the more palatable action shown on camera.

Fans hoping for a bloodier take on the Star Wars universe are likely out of luck for the foreseeable future. With Disney overseeing the Star Wars universe now, the studio is unlikely to produce a more brutal take on the universe fans know and love so as to reach as wide of an audience as possible. Luckily for Star Wars fans, for all the lack of blood in the franchise, there isn't a lack of content. Disney is set to create more Star Wars content than ever before, promising more action and adventure in a galaxy far, far away. The Mandalorian was just the beginning.
