Star Wars officially confirmed the home planet of Din Djarin, otherwise known as the Mandalorian, the lead character in Disney+’s hit TV series, The Mandalorian. The series has been a welcome addition to the Star Wars franchise, and the second season is weeks away.

Arguably one of the most enticing elements of the Jon Favreau created saga is its ability to keep key plot points under wraps until it’s vital to reveal them. With fans eager for knowledge about all things Star Wars, there’s typically plenty of conjecture and discussion on any given issue within the franchise. The Mandalorian is undoubtedly no different in this respect. From the start of the series, there was much talk about everything from who or what Baby Yoda is to what the Mandalorian’s real name is. Some of the burning questions have been answered or continue to be answered, but fans must wait for new episodes for other pieces of the puzzle to be complete. Fortunately, the second season of The Mandalorian is just a matter of weeks away, and this season promises big things.

Still, important details are often given away or confirmed about the series outside of its episodes. This is the case with recent confirmation from Star Wars on the Mandalorian (aka Din Djarin) and his home planet of Aq Vetina. Thanks to the official Hot Toys Instagram page, a new collectible figure allows fans to understand Din Djarin’s past better.

The text accompanying the photos explains that The Death Watch Mandalorians arrived on Aq Vetina when it was under attack by super battle droids. The Mandalorians rescued a young Din Djarin before any harm could come to him. The new collectible figure is crafted to resemble the Death Watch Mandalorian, who saved Din Djarin from certain death.

Fans of The Mandalorian will have already known this, of course, as there were glimpses in the season finale that it was, in fact, Death Watch Mandalorians who rescued the young Djarin. However, as far as the exact details of Djarin’s childhood and subsequent rescue from his home planet go, fans have been left to debate and conjecture. As this new collectible figure is being released in relative conjunction with the second season of The Mandalorian, it’s arguable that much more of Din Djarin’s background will be revealed throughout the upcoming new episodes.

There’s a lot of pressure on The Mandalorian season 2 to surpass the first season's quality. This likely won’t be much of a problem, given that it appears as though the story behind the series has been worked out quite far in advance. With each new episode, the story is sure to deepen, and with so many questions to be answered after just one season, The Mandalorian’s second season is likely to be a memorable one.
