Hot Toys' Latest Luke Skywalker Figure is Strong With the Force

Luke Skywalker Wields His Green Lightsaber in Return of the Jedi

Hot Toys has unveiled its new hyper-realistic Luke Skywalker figure joining the ranks with other Star Wars characters like Han Solo, Princess Leia and Obi Wan Kenobi. The toy company is based in Hong Kong and is known for developing highly detailed collectibles to worldwide markets for various fandoms including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Disney and, of course, Star Wars.

Although this is not the first figure of Luke that Hot Toys has made - there is a A New Hope figure, an exclusive stormtrooper disguise version and a The Force Awakens version - this is the first Jedi Knight version of the famed Star Wars hero from Return of the Jedi. In episode VI, Luke (Mark Hamill), now a Jedi Knight well versed in the ways of the force, rescues Han Solo (Harrison Ford) from crime lord Jabba the Hutt with help from Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2. After the rescue, Luke learns that he must battle his father, Darth Vader, in order to stop the Empire from taking control of the galaxy.

The figure itself stands at 12″ and is currently up for pre-order for $229, it has ultra-high details that makes the figure very realistic in comparison to the younger Mark Hamill who appeared in the film. The accessories include his black Jedi Knight outfit, which he wears throughout the film, and his brown Jedi robe. As far as weapons go, the figure comes with a blaster and his green lightsaber (one standing still and one in motion), plus an interchangeable mechanical hand that is able to hold the saber. The set also comes with many, many interchangeable hands, including one with a wound, and a pair of restraints for when Luke is taken to his father in the final battle scene. You will also be able to display your Luke Skywalker figure on a stand that comes with multiple backgrounds to choose from such as one from Tatooine.

Considering the high quality of the figure, the many accessories the figure comes with in order to recreate multiple scenes from the film and the beautiful display stand, this Luke Skywalker figure would make a perfect fit for anyone collecting the Hot Toys line of Star Wars characters.
