Some of the consistently best Star Wars content is from the animated shows. They have continued to impress the fandom, adding so much to the canon, including original characters and brilliant depth and backstory to established characters. In fact, there are some characters who could benefit massively from an appearance or role in an animated show in the future.

Ignoring Forces Of Destiny appearances, no matter how good they may be, and focusing on full-length TV series, many characters have yet to be animated that fans are desperate to see drawn on-screen in an upcoming project.

Koska Reeves

Koska Reeves gets into a verbal confrontation with Boba Fett in The Mandalorian

Koska Reeves debuted in The Mandalorian alongside Bo-Katan Kryze and Axe Woves as a member of Kryze's Nite Owls. They immediately kicked ass in the show with great charisma and attitude.

Reeves could easily transition into a multitude of potential shows alongside Bo-Katan, and even Woves and other Nite Owls. Any time Star Wars TV tells stories on Mandalore or about Mandalorians, it is gold, and getting more backstory on Reeves would likely continue that trend.

Rose & Paige Tico

Rose Tico got seriously mistreated with her role in The Rise Of Skywalker. Nevertheless, she was a key character in the sequel trilogy and a character who is destined to have some great stories in the future, with fans hoping to see her potentially in animation.

Rose's sister Paige was also a great part of the trilogy, albeit with a much smaller role. Paige was a standout of the incredible opening scene of The Last Jedi, and seeing the two sisters together as a part of the Resistance or growing up would be fantastic. The two appeared in Forces Of Destiny, but a role in a full-length series would still be deserved for the sisters.

Enfys Nest

Enfys Nest arrives with the Cloud Riders to take the Coaxium from Han, Qi'ra, and Beckett in Solo

Solo is arguably one of the most underrated Star Wars adventures, not only being an enjoyable time but having some great characters throughout. Those include Enfys Nest, a character who has scarcely appeared in canon.

As the leader of the Cloud-Riders and an early sign of rebellion, there is so much potential for Nest's character. Seeing her fight against the Empire or Crimson Dawn in an animated show surrounded by her band of rebel pirates would be outstanding and would add more weight to her role in the Solo story.

Tobias Beckett

Beckett has a final confrontation with Han Solo in Solo A Star Wars Story

Mercenaries, bounty hunters, gamblers, and pretty much any manner of criminal in the Star Wars Galaxy are some of the best and most interesting people to watch, and Tobias Beckett fits that bill.

He is one of Solo's standout characters and someone who would slot perfectly into Star Wars TV like so many criminals before him. Seeing his killing of Aurra Sing animated is a long shot but would be great. However, simply seeing him on a job, with the crew from Solo even, is well within the possibility and would be a fun watch for an episode or arc of animated TV.

IG-88B

IG-88 stands in the lineup of bounty hunters aboard the Executor in The Empire Strikes Back

There are five identical IG-88 series assassin droids in canon, the most famous of which being IG-88B, a feared bounty hunter seen in the lineup on the Executor in The Empire Strikes Back but who has yet to reach the legendary status of other bounty hunters.

Seeing any of the five droids, A-E, appear in animation would be a joy. IG-88B has appeared in Forces Of Destiny but would be brilliant to watch on a hunt in a full-length animated series, especially since he is a rival of Boba Fett. IG-88 has had many appearances in the likes of comics and would seamlessly translate to animation, potentially joining the likes of Cad Bane as great animated bounty hunters.

Zorii Bliss (& Babu Frik)

Zorii Bliss and Babu Frik were two memorable sequel trilogy characters who only appeared in The Rise Of Skywalker and who deserve to have more of their stories told in canon.

Babu Frik is just a joy to watch, but Zorii has a lot of storyline potential, especially with Poe. Seeing her role in the Galaxy post-Rise Of Skywalker in an animated show would be great. Even seeing her life before the sequel trilogy, her story, how she became a spice runner, would fit into an animated setting, not necessarily focused completely on her, but with her having a role.

Qi'ra

Qi'ra arrives on Kessel to retrieve the coaxium in Supernatural

Qi'ra is finally having her story further in the Star Wars canon, being a focus in the War Of The Bounty Hunters run, as well as Crimson Reign. An on-screen return feels like it's surely in her future.

Qi'ra is intelligent, highly skilled, and totally badass. Seeing her interactions with Maul post-Solo and seeing how the two did business together as leaders of Crimson Dawn prior to Maul getting stranded in the Outer Rim would be fascinating. Even if there is no Maul involvement, an appearance from Qi'ra in any on-screen capacity is something fans are hoping for.

Finn

While Finn was a standout aspect of the sequel trilogy, there was undoubtedly a lot of unrealized potential for his character that fans of the stormtrooper turned rebel, with his ending not giving audiences everything they still hope to see.

Finn would be incredible to see in live-action, there is no doubt about that. However, an animated show in a post-Rise Of Skywalker Galaxy would also be great, and with his charisma, apparent Force abilities, and general likability, Finn would fit it amazingly. It would be especially great to see him once again joined up with Poe and Rey.

Grogu

Grogu uses the Force in The Mandalorian

Like the sequel trilogy characters, fans do not necessarily only want to see Grogu again in animation; they just want to see him again. Seeing his adorable self pop up in an animated show with the right story, though, would be fitting.

It is hard to imagine what kind of animated show would suit a Grogu appearance, but one set directly after The Mandalorian when he goes off with his new Master Luke Skywalker seems to be the safest bet. A show starring both characters has been rumored to be in development, and animation seems to be a great avenue for such a show.

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker tells the Emperor he is a Jedi in Return of the Jedi.

Luke Skywalker has technically appeared in animation through Forces Of Destiny and a minuscule Rebels cameo where he is seen in the distance. But fans still want to see Luke properly explored in an animated setting.

There are two ideal settings for such a show; one in which he is with Grogu, and another in which he is searching the Galaxy for important artifacts like he does in Battlefront II and just in general in the canon after the original trilogy. Both would be excellent ways to further Luke Skywalker's already rich history in Star Wars.
