Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be available for digital download in the middle of March, just a couple of weeks prior to its reported Blu-ray release date. The film had a very lucrative run in theaters, grossing $1.3 billion worldwide. That figure was a far cry from the $2 billion posted by The Force Awakens, but Episode VIII was never expected to match the performance of its predecessor. At the end of the day, it was very much a commercial success - despite being a polarizing entry in the famed saga.
With the movie's box office run coming to a close, Lucasfilm will soon be turning their attention to the home media release. Already, we know fans will be treated to several deleted scenes (in addition to other special features), but there's been no official word on when The Last Jedi will come flying into living rooms. Now, thanks to an international iTunes listing, that seems to have changed.

Per Star Wars News Net, the New Zealand iTunes store states The Last Jedi will be available for purchase on March 14, 2018. There is no release date information on the U.S. version of iTunes, but it's reasonable to assume it would be around the same time. Should this pan out, Last Jedi would arrive on digital platforms a little earlier than both Rogue One (March 24, 2017) and Force Awakens (April 1, 2016) did during their respective home media rollouts.
March is poised to be quite a month for Star Wars fans, seeing that the physical Blu-ray is expected to hit store shelves on March 27. In addition to the movie coming home, people will get to experience the story in book form with the release of the official Last Jedi novelization. The book will offer a more comprehensive narrative to enjoy, reinserting deleted sequences as well as showcasing new ones written exclusively for the text. These include the funeral for Han Solo and Luke Skywalker's final lesson for Rey during her training on Ahch-To. Episode VIII's deleted scenes don't seem like your standard filler, so they should enhance the film and maybe even placate the harshest critics.
With the March date for both digital and Blu-ray leaking out, Lucasfilm should comment on the matter in the near future with a mini marketing campaign to hype up the home media release. It will be interesting to see what other bonus materials are included. Many will be hoping for a director's commentary by Johnson and featurettes exploring everything from the movie's locations to the late Carrie Fisher's final performance as Leia. It would also be fun if a promo for Solo: A Star Wars Story was in there as well.
