The Star Wars sequel trilogy has so far offered several opportunities for famous fans to appear in the films alongside Rey, Chewbacca, and BB-8. In The Force Awakens, Simon Pegg played Unkar Plutt the gruff junk dealer on Jakku; Pegg is a close friend of director J. J. Abrams, having worked with him in the Star Trek films. Daniel Craig also appeared briefly in The Force Awakens, playing the First Order stormtrooper whom Rey persuaded using the Force.

It appears that the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi will have even more celebrity cameos, including some of Rian Johnson's favorite actors from past projects, a singer, and some British royalty. Here are some of the famous faces (and voices) to look out for in The Last Jedi.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Director Rian Johnson on the set of Looper

Director Rian Johnson worked with Joseph Gordon-Levitt for both Brick and Looper, and Gordon-Levitt also had a cameo role in Johnson's The Brothers Bloom, so it comes as no surprise that he is also set to have a cameo in The Last Jedi as well. Gordon-Levitt will reportedly voice an alien in the film. He did not record any motion-capture for the role, and there are no photos of him on set, so it is difficult to be more specific about the role that he will play.

Prince William and Harry

Prince William and Harry came to visit the set of The Last Jedi, and before they left, they became a part of the galaxy far, far away. After months of the cast denying rumors amid leaked photos, actor John Boyega confirmed that both of the queen's grandsons were on set. They will appear in the film as First Order stormtroopers. It remains to be seen if either William or Harry will have any lines.

Update: Boyega confirmed Prince William and Prince Harry's cameo was cut from The Last Jedi.

Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy in Dunkirk

Tom Hardy will also appear as a First Order stormtrooper in The Last Jedi - an additional cameo that John Boyega confirmed. Hardy was on the set of the eighth Star Wars film with Prince William and Henry, and it is reported that they will all appear in the same scene as stormtroopers. Hopefully viewers will be able to distinguish between them!

 Noah Segan

When Joseph Gordon-Levitt confirmed that he had a cameo in The Last Jedi, he alluded to the fact that he is one of two people who will be in all four Rian Johnson films:

The "other guy" that Gordon-Levitt is referring to is actor Noah Segan, who appeared alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in BrickLooper, and The Brothers Bloom. Segan's role in The Last Jedi is unknown and, like Gordon-Levitt, he may only be providing the voice for a character. Rian Johnson jokingly responded to the rumors:

Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow is the lead singer in the band Take That. From 2011 to 2013, he was the head judge of The X Factor (UK), and this year he was a judge for the reality competition show Let It Shine, in which singers competed to be in a stage musical comprised of Take That songs. Barlow will reportedly be a First Order stormtrooper alongside Tom Hardy and the pair of princes.
