Supreme Leader Snoke's story ended when he was killed by his apprentice Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it's the secrets and mystery surrounding the start of their dark bond that fans have been dying to know more about. Thankfully, the Ben Solo's transformation into Kylo Ren WILL be revealed... just not in a Star Wars movie.

Considering how much is riding on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker already, it's probably for the best that J.J. Abrams worry about actually finishing this Star Wars story, instead of rewinding it for the sake of exposition. Even so, fans will want answers. But now that Supreme Leader Snoke is revealed to be the star of his very own comic book, the storytellers at Star Wars are teasing the one tantalizing chapter still missing from the sequel trilogy: "the brutal training of Kylo Ren."

Coming this September, Star Wars: Age of Resistance - Supreme Leader Snoke will be putting the leader of the First Order into the spotlight. And as much as fans would love to dream of a comic exploring the strange origins of Supreme Leader Snoke, that's one mystery the powers that be are keeping to themselves. Instead, the issue will focus on the next most important chapter in Snoke's life: his recruitment, indoctrination, and training of Kylo Ren, his apprentice and future assassin (making the parallels between Snoke and Emperor Palpatine clearer than ever before).

Star Wars Age of Resistance Snoke Comic

Before any skeptics start to doubt that a comic book will reveal any great secrets, it's worth pointing out just how much these one-shot Star Wars comics have already changed key elements of the saga. In his own standalone story, it was implied that the Emperor Force-pushed Luke into his exile, allowing the First Order to rise unchecked. On the other end of the spectrum, Grand Moff Tarkin became a muscular badass in his own expanded story. Which means the possibilities really are endless, and considering that fans currently know absolutely nothing about the early days of Kylo and Snoke, literally any new (Lucasfilm-approved) insight could be a game-changing revelation.

Fans may know that Kylo Ren and Snoke aren't true Sith, but did this dark master suggest otherwise to his Vader-revering apprentice? And speaking of his grandfather, will there be any clue supporting the theory that Vader's helmet corrupted Ben Solo, as opposed to the ego of Snoke? Honestly, we would even settle for a line of dialogue that either proves or disproves the dangling plot thread implying Luke's Jedi students became the Knights of Ren. The full issue arrives to answer these questions and more in September, so for now fans will have to read the official details and synopsis before spinning their own theories. Not to mention Phil Noto's cover, seen above:
