While news has been scant on the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, there is evidence to suggest that a new trailer is coming soon. The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Survivor will again feature fugitive Jedi Cal Kestis as he combats the Empire along with the crew of the Mantis. Initially revealed with a short cinematic teaser on May 27, Survivor is set for a 2023 release, with some reports suggesting it could launch in March.Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is among the Star Wars franchise's biggest successes in the gaming industry in recent years, telling the story of fugitive Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, a tale only tangentially connected to preexisting Star Wars properties. As such, it may not come as a shock that the game is receiving a sequel, especially with Fallen Order's ending leaving some plot threads hanging. Outside its initial reveal teaser, however, information on Survivor has not been forthcoming - something that may be subject to change as a new trailer is potentially upcoming.Related: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Title Might Not Be About Cal KestisAs stated by a tweet from Idle Sloth, industry insider Jeff Grubb (via TheGamer) suggests that the relative silence on Survivor may be ending soon. Following up on his previous claims that Survivor is set for a March 2023 launch, Grubb has reiterated that "There's no issue with the game right now," adding that EA is "going to start talking about it in December." While the game's supposed release date of March fast approaching, the game has not received advertising outside of its initial reveal, and no official statement has been made alluding to a specific launch date.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Could Get A New Trailer In December

While Survivor news has been in short supply, fans of the original game may reasonably be able to expect an expansion of Fallen Order's gameplay, potentially even including new weapons besides the lightsaber for Jedi Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis. While EA has yet to show off any actual gameplay for Survivor, the teaser trailer's cinematic nature promises an intriguing new story in the Star Wars universe. The lack of gameplay doesn't seem to suggest any internal problems either, as sources say the game is proceeding apace, with no delays in store for its 2023 release date.

Fans of Fallen Order may not have to wait much longer for news on the sequel, with a new trailer potentially set for December. New trailers, of course, could also finally confirm the rumored March release date, as well as potentially showing Survivor's gameplay in action. With the game reportedly avoiding the delay woes that have plagued many other 2023 releases like Hogwarts Legacy, fans looking forward to the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may be able to get their hands on the game sooner rather than later.
