A new launch trailer has just been released for the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which showcases the title's stunning landscapes and even more beautiful lightsaber combat. Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EAJedi: Fallen Order was announced during E3 2018 and has since been reported to be one of the best Star Wars games in recent years.

Although some players may still be holding onto a grudge after the way EA handled the Star Wars license in regards to games like Star Wars BattlefrontRespawn Entertainment seems to be pulling out all the stops in order to make sure players know they are dedicated to delivering a fun experience filled with useful force powers and intense lightsaber battles.

Earlier today, EA Star Wars released the launch trailer for Jedi: Fallen Order which shows off both of those features, as well as beautifully detailed landscapes, high-wire traversal, and hyperspace jumping. The video, embedded below, not only shows the main character Cal Kestis using his lightsaber in combat against both normal ground troopers and AT-AT walkers, but also sees him engaging in a number of one-on-one duels with other lightsaber-weilding opponents, including one with a Darth Maul-esque double-bladed red lightsaber.

In the past, the development team at Respawn has said Jedi: Fallen Order's combat is similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twiceciting the freedom From Software's shinobi game allowed the player by removing any form of a stamina meter and instead allowing them to jump, attack, run, and use their special moves at their own discretion in order to overcome obstacles. As this trailer demonstrates, players will be able to utilize both their force powers and their lightsaber in much the same way during Jedi: Fallen Order's combat encounters. The above video even shows off a classic Jedi lightsaber move, the spinning blaster deflection, something which is integral to any lightsaber-based experience.

As Jedi: Fallen Order's release date of November 15th draws closer, EA is surely trying to convince players the mistakes they made with the Star Wars license in the past will not be repeated here. With dazzling graphics and a flurry of good previews surrounding the game, things are looking hopeful, and this launch trailer seems to prove Respawn, who also brought players the frantically delightful character-based battle royale Apex: Legends, has been taking the time to make sure the gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not only fun but also feels and looks like a Star Wars title should.
