With Star Wars being such a colossal pop culture entity and a wonderfully connected universe in its contained canon, easter eggs and references to the franchise can be found everywhere, not least of all in its own video games such as Jedi: Fallen Order. The game may be known for its wonderful characters and exceptional story, but it is a treasure trove for hardcore fans who love a good easter egg.

The different skins for the Mantis and BD-1, as well as Cal's outfits and lightsaber parts, have their own series of references. The gameplay itself, though, is littered with great easter eggs, some that smack players in the face and others that need a bit of work to find.

The High Ground

Cal Kestis sneaks past stormtroopers who talk about having the high ground in Jedi Fallen Order

One of the most iconic meme'd moments in Star Wars comes in Revenge Of The Sith - during what many believe to be the best lightsaber duel in the franchise - when Obi-Wan states, "It's over Anakin. I have the high ground."

The moment has been laughed about by fans for fast approaching two decades now, and Jedi: Fallen Order decided to join in. As the player climbs with Cal stealthily through an Imperial facility, two stormtroopers can be heard conversing about how they are safe because they have the famed high ground.

The Venator

Cal stands on the Venator wreckage in Jedi Fallen Order

The Venator crash site on Zeffo is one of the best locations in Jedi: Fallen Order, but not every fan playing may know what the Venator actually is or how it is significant.

Before there were Imperial Star Destroyers, there were Venator class ships used during the Clone Wars. Many of these ships, including the one on Zeffo, crashed at some point during the war, with another significant example being the ship Ahsoka and Rex escape from in "Victory and Death," which eventually crashes and kills hundreds of clones.

Tarrful's Return

Cal speaks with Tarfful and Mari on Kashyyyk in Jedi Fallen Order

While Chewbacca is the most well-known of the beloved Wookiee race to keep popping up in Star Wars, his friend and Chieftan on Kashyyk Tarfful also has his fair share of appearances, popping up in Jedi: Fallen Order after appearances in Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars.

Tarfful pops up alongside Saw Gerrera on Kashyyyk, fighting alongside the rebel to liberate his home planet and fight back against the tyrannical Empire. Chewbacca may get all the glory, but Tarfful has proven a hero in his own right with his actions of fighting the Empire, fighting during the Clone Wars, and helping Master Yoda.

Tach

The Tach are not the most well-known species in Star Wars. In fact, very few fans will even recognize them or their name, only players of Battlefront II and Jedi: Fallen Order.

Before the tree-dwelling primates appeared to Cal and the player on Kashyyyk in Jedi: Fallen Order, they had only ever been seen in Battlefront II, roaming around Kashyyyk amid the battles between the Republic and Separatists. Fans would get forgiven for having no idea who or what the Tach are going into this game.

"Faster More Intense."

Cal Kestis trains as a Padawan under Jedi Master Taro Japal in Jedi Fallen Order

Being the creator of Star Wars makes George Lucas one of the most memorable figures in pop culture, and for Star Wars fans, there are many little nuances, quotes, and moments from the maker that will live on forever.

One example of that is his famous direction used to actors when directing his Star Wars films of "Faster, more intense." That same line pops up in Jedi: Fallen Order, used by Taro Japal to encourage more ferocity and focus in training by Cal, a great little easter egg for fans more aware of the behind-the-scenes work on Star Wars.

A Familiar Sight On Ilum

The Mantis arrives on Ilum in Jedi Fallen Order

The snowy Ilum is a truly beautiful Star Wars planet and one hugely important to the Jedi who go there to find their Kyber Crystals for their lightsaber. By the time of the New Republic, though, Ilum is no more, it has gotten turned into Starkiller Base.

It is one of the main planets players can explore in Jedi: Fallen Order, and when first visiting the planet looks completely normal externally. After the game is finished, however, players can return to the planet, and what they see is the beginning of the Imperial strip mining operation, which would eventually see Ilum turned into Starkiller Base.

The Shadowlands

The Shadowlands are one of the many locations players need to go through in Jedi: Fallen Order and can be found on Kashyyyk. It did not debut in this game, though, and it will be well known by fans of Knights Of The Old Republic.

The Shadowlands are a significant part of the player's time on Kashyyyk in that game. They first appeared in the Legends picture book The Wookiee's Storybook, but in the canon have only appeared in the Aftermath trilogy and in Jedi: Fallen Order.

Obi-Wan's Message From Rebels

Cal Kestis and Cere watch a holocron message from Obi-Wan Kenobi in Jedi Fallen Order

Obi-Wan is a character who fans will always rejoice at seeing on-screen, and despite the heartbreaking nature of his appearance in Rebels, he was a welcome sight in the first episode of the show where he is seen in a recording.

A short glimpse of that recording is shown once again in Jedi: Fallen Order, as the Jedi has the same message in Cere's Jedi Holocron as was in Kanan's and, presumably, every other Jedi Holocron residing with a Jedi in the Galaxy at that point. It is an easter egg for the passionate Rebels fans and a memorable yet heartbreaking monologue from Obi-Wan as he details the fall of the Republic and Jedi Order.

Palpatine's Reward For Persistence

A hidden Palpatine Order 66 easter egg in Jedi Fallen Order

Not all of the easter eggs in Jedi: Fallen Order are automatically a part of the story or easy to find, some require a little bit of time and effort, including a hidden voice message from none other than Darth Sidious.

During the dream sequence near the start of the game, a door shuts between Cal and Prauf; if the player were to stick to the door and try to open it rather than continue the mission, they would eventually hear Sidious' iconic line "Execute Order 66." However, the player would have to press "Open" on the door 66 times for this to happen.

A Hidden Yoda Figurine

Entering the secret Yoda room in Jedi Fallen Order

Undoubtedly the strangest easter egg in Fallen Order comes in the form of a secret room where Cal can encounter little figurines of not only Bogglings but an extremely weird-looking Yoda.

The room can be found in the Tomb of Eilram on Zeffo and requires the player to manipulate a puzzle so that one of the large balls is in a specific area, allowing Cal to make a difficult jump from a ramp to a climbable wall. Once this is achieved, a disturbing Yoda figurine can get enjoyed by the player.
