According to journalist Jeff Grubb, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is the title of Respawn Entertainment's eagerly-anticipated Star Wars sequel. Speculation about the next Star Wars Jedi game has flowed through the rumor mill uninterrupted for quite a long while. One recent rumor, also courtesy of Grubb, suggests Lucasfilm Games and publisher Electronic Arts intend to formally reveal the follow-up entry in the coming weeks during Star Wars Celebration on May 26. Neither company has corroborated this claim as of yet, however.

Jedi Fallen Order launched in late 2019 and quickly became a fan-favorite Star Wars game. The title's meteoric success caught Electronic Arts by surprise, forcing the company to reconsider its stance on the significance of single-player adventures in its portfolio. It didn't take long, then, for company CEO Andrew Wilson to express interest in exploring the Star Wars Jedi brand further. As of now, though, EA and Respawn remain mum on how exactly the series will be expanded upon in its next outing.

During episode 46 of Giant Bomb's premium GrubbSnax podcast (relayed by VGC), VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb leaked the title of the upcoming Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order sequel. Allegedly, EA and Respawn Entertainment have dropped the Fallen Order label in favor of Survivor; thus, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will mark the name of the brand-new outing, should Grubb's claims prove accurate. The journalist didn't offer much else in the way of concrete information outside of confirming that a member of the GrubbSnax stream's chat had correctly guessed the title.

An inquisitor in Jedi Fallen Order

Previously, Jeff Grubb and Star Wars insiders like Bespin Bulletin alleged Fallen Order 2 wouldn't serve as the title of the Respawn-developed sequel. Survivor seems a wise choice for a replacement, one that could hint at the upcoming entry possibly taking on a bit of darker tone. That much and more won't be clear until the game receives a formal reveal, of course, which could come as early as this month's Star Wars Celebration.

Grubb also reported earlier in the year that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's follow-up would launch exclusively on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms, leaving the last-gen consoles in the dust. Apparently, such a move will come courtesy of Electronic Arts' intention to release the project sometime in 2023. This, too, constitutes a detail that has yet to be corroborated by official sources connected to the title in question.
