Screen Rant got to check out Hasbro's line of Star Wars: The Last Jedi Force Friday II toys - here are the coolest things we saw. Ever since the first film in George Lucas' now iconic franchise debuted in theaters in 1977 - Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, though at the time it was simply known as Star Wars - the toys sold along with the movie series have been nearly as important to fans. Now, Hasbro and other toymakers unveil plenty of products for all kinds of Star Wars fans, young and old, to collect and play with for each new entry of Disney and Lucasfilm's series set in a galaxy far, far away.

In fact, the merchandising for Star Wars is such a big deal for fans all around the world that Lucasfilm started holding Force Friday events in 2015 to mark the return of the franchise with J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. This year, Lucasfilm and its various partners are launching Force Friday II, a whole weekend event during which new products for The Last Jedi will be unveiled, an augmented reality treasure hunt will reveal a new character, and fans can finally get their hands on their very own Porg. Now, we run through a couple of the coolest toys Hasbro will release for Force Friday II.

During a Force Friday II press pre-briefing of part of their entire lineup of products that will be available during the event, Screen Rant got a chance to check out Hasbro's latest Star Wars toys. What stood out were the Star Wars 12-Inch Interactech Kylo Ren figure, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi Electronic Porg Plush, and the Star Wars BB-8 playset. The Kylo Ren figure is a cool product for both Star Wars fans who prefer to collect tie-in merchandise and those that will play with it. The figure comes equipped with more than 60 different phrases for the character - with the tone of voice changing depending on whether the detachable helmet is on or off of Kylo's head - plus a light-up lightsaber and all the appropriate sound effects to go along with it. Meanwhile, the electronic Porg plush is vaguely reminiscent of a Hasbro Furby, but with movie-accurate sounds of the adorable character and movement capability.

Still, perhaps the coolest thing we saw that will be officially unveiled for Force Friday II is the BB-8 playset, which unfolds to feature three different levels of Emperor Snoke's Star Destroyer base and is equipped with Force Link technology. The levels include Snoke's lair, a hallway with quite a few secrets hidden in it (including a trap door), and finally a level with an interrogation room, a trash compactor and a room with a group of Stormtroopers. Screen Rant was additionally told this particular playset includes a great deal of Easter eggs from The Last Jedi - which will make more sense after the film hits theaters later this year.

The full line of Hasbro Star Wars Force Friday II products will be available at midnight on September 1st, joining in on the global event Star Wars fans surely won't want to miss.
