Their time in the Star Wars universe may be over, but John Boyega and Oscar Isaac aren't completely finished with Finn and Poe or the ship they've inspired, as shown by Boyega's latest Instagram video. Since their first appearances in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans hoped a romance would spark between Boyega's runaway Stormtrooper Finn and Isaac's hotshot pilot Poe Dameron. The pairing was dubbed FinnPoe by fans, and their hopes only increased as the trilogy went on. Had FinnPoe become canon, they would have been the first prominent LGBTQ couple to be featured in Star Wars.

Sadly, things were not meant to be, as the final film in the trilogy, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, kept Finn and Poe as friends. Isaac spoke out about the decision in the lead-up to the film's release, blaming the "Disney overlords" for not allowing progress to happen. Fans were further upset when The Rise of Skywalker was said to include an LGBTQ moment that in reality only amounted to a quick kiss between background characters. Many (correctly) thought that FinnPoe would have been better representation.

Now Boyega and Isaac are getting fans excited all over again with a new quick video. Boyega posted the clip to his Instagram with the caption, "I promise you all that I won’t post any singing videos at this time but I hope this video is okay?" Despite being the one to share the video, Boyega isn't in it at all. Instead, it's just Isaac standing in front of a bathroom mirror, wearing a shirt with his and Boyega's faces. Isaac says,"I'm ready. Let's do this." Check it out below:

Boyega has also been vocal about his displeasure with some of The Rise of Skywalker's choices, though his criticism mainly seems leveled at a pairing that did get an appearance in the film: Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). The two characters shared a kiss near the end of the film, though the recent The Rise of Skywalker novelization claimed the kiss wasn't meant to be romantic.

It's not clear what Boyega and Isaac's video is hyping up, or if it even is meant to hype something. Isaac's "Let's do this" comment makes it seem like something is on the horizon, and Star Wars fans certainly hope that's the case. Over the years, both Boyega and Isaac have shared their support for FinnPoe, and it's sweet to see they still hold some fondness for the pairing. One thing is certain: If these two have something planned, fans will be overjoyed to see it.
