The struggle between the light and dark is prominent throughout Star Wars, and the seemingly neverending war between the two so often sees Jedi and light-side aligned Force users display incredible power to dispel the evil from the Galaxy. Through years of training and experience and natural gifts, many of the main light siders in Star Wars are immensely powerful with the Force.

Not all of the main Jedi that audiences meet are trained to a full extent, while others have trained in the Force for hundreds of years, so there is a definite disparity between the Force power of certain characters compared to others.

Ezra Bridger

Ezra Bridger holds his saber from Star Wars Rebels

Ezra Bridger is the main protagonist of Star Wars: Rebels, and a great one at that. Despite a rocky start and the character not being that amazing for the first little while in the show, he grew to be a really superb character. He just is not that powerful in the Force.

Of course, he is still powerful, he can use the Force and has natural gifts in it; they are just not extraordinary. Ezra was trained by a Jedi who never got to complete his training and never showed himself to be wildly powerful except for in his interactions with creatures. Ezra's most awesome feat comes when he summons the Purrgils to take him and Thrawn to hyperspace.

Kanan Jarrus

Kanan Jarrus is one of the best and most underrated Jedi in the Star Wars canon, and his journey through Rebels and in the Force was outstanding to watch. For as fantastic as he consistently was throughout Rebels, it is hard to tell just how powerful he was.

He did have moments where he showcased a great attunement to the Force and performed astonishing feats, such as his ultimate sacrifice. But in terms of raw power and how he could use it constantly, Kanan never reached the grand heights of other Jedi. Calling him average would be unfair, he is certainly well above that, but his Force power is nothing special compared to some others.

Rey Skywalker

It is hard to grasp the power of Rey at this point properly. With factors such as her dyad with Ben Solo in play and the fact audiences have only seen her across three films with a total time of one in Galaxy year, she is hard to judge.

There is no doubt that she has immense raw Force power, though. She is unrefined in her abilities and may be aided by her dyad with Ben, but some of the feats she pulls off in the trilogy with minimum training are still seriously impressive. All in all, though, she may have the potential to overtake many other Jedi who are, as of now, ahead of her in terms of Force power, but right now, she is not on their level.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon tries to use the Jedi mind trick in The Phantom Menace

The fact that Qui-Gon Jinn was the first Jedi to discover the ability of life after death, of becoming one with the Force on another plane of existence, says a lot about his level of Force power even if fans never get a proper examination of it.

Qui-Gon and his outlook on the Force are fascinating. It is wholly unique for the Jedi of his time. However, it does not make him more powerful than other Jedi, whom fans have gotten a better look at over the years. Qui-Gon was a Jedi Master, so that speaks for itself. But compared to others in his Jedi Order, he does appear to wield the same levels of power.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano leaves to find Ezra Bridger at the end of Star Wars: Rebels.

Ahsoka Tano has one of the best character journeys in Star Wars, and fans are chomping at the bit to see where her story goes in her new TV show. Since her time in The Clone Wars, her maturity and power levels seem to have increased massively.

Ahsoka's understanding of the Force and how attuned she is to it seems to have increased exponentially since The Clone Wars. It was not like she was weak in The Clone Wars either; she got shown to be proficient in many Force abilities and a very powerful Padawan overall. It is hard to put her up against the likes of Qui-Gon, but from what audiences have seen, Ahsoka seems the more powerful in the Force.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan appears to Luke as a Force spirit on Dagobah and talks to him about his father being Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi

Growing up in the Jedi Order, Obi-Wan Kenobi was never the most naturally gifted Jedi. Obi-Wan had to work and train hard to develop his skills and power to eventually become one of the most respected Jedi Masters in the whole Jedi Order and one of the most powerful.

Obi-Wan became the first Jedi to become a fully-fledged Force Spirit, and he had such incredible wisdom through years of studying the Force. Whether his natural potential was not on the level of an Anakin Skywalker or not, Obi-Wan managed to create an incredible legacy and amass great power with the Force.

Mace Windu

On the Jedi High Council, only Yoda sat in a higher position than Mace Windu, who held a reputation as a stoic, authoritative, and incredibly strong Jedi. While his lightsaber skills were legendary, his Force power was immense also.

His lightsaber skills actually played into his Force power as he mastered Vaapad, a hugely strenuous lightsaber form that required mastery of one's emotion, utilizing both the light and dark side of the Force. Windu, of course, had mastery of the typical Force abilities but also had rarer skills such as battle meditation and shatterpoint.

Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker had the potential to become the greatest and most powerful Jedi ever. Then, at the very young age of 22, he became Darth Vader, and his Force potential became a what-if scenario.

Nevertheless, even at 22, Anakin possessed almost unimaginable power for someone of his age. He was well on his way to doing genuinely astonishing things with the Force. It was all so natural to him at that time, he had such raw ability that showed itself constantly. He may have been untamed at times, but it was still so seamless the way he utilized the Force to destroy enemies and make himself look amazing.

Luke Skywalker

While the Legends version of Luke Skywalker was an unstoppable, unconquerable beast of a Jedi who could hardly be touched by any opposition, the canon version of the character has thus far stayed in a more reasonable lane in terms of his power.

That does not mean, though, that he is anything but awe-inspiring in his power. Like his father, Luke had incredible raw potential, but he actually went on to fulfill it - even though it was not quite Anakin-level potential. Luke studied both sides of the Force and accumulated a cornucopia of knowledge in the years that followed the Galactic Civil War. He put that knowledge into action when he cut himself off from the Force and when he utilized Force projection to a masterful degree. To many, he is, and forever will be the best Jedi in Star Wars.

Yoda

For all the raw ability and potential that flows in the blood of the Skywalker family, they are not on the level of a 900-year-old, mysterious, green, eccentric little Jedi Master who is widely regarded as the most powerful light side character in Star Wars.

Yoda's understanding of the Force appears to be second to none. The way he describes it has audiences and characters alike hooked on every word. His connection to the mystical energy is unlike any other character in the franchise. He had mastery of abilities common and rare and was revered by his fellow Jedi. Not all of this was natural; it was learned and mastered with training and discipline, a testament to how truly awe-inspiring Yoda is.
