Contrary to what many fans may well believe, the iconic Darksaber is not the only one-of-kind lightsaber in the expanded Star Wars universe. As seen in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, the Darksaber is an entirely unique lightsaber, completely distinct in terms of appearance, lore, and construction. Admittedly, there are several custom lightsabers, such as Rey's yellow saber, Count Dooku's curved hilt blade, and Ahsoka Tano's white dual lightsabers.

However, despite their intriguing designs, none of these examples have the singular uniqueness that the Darksaber possesses. Its color and design make it a clear standout from the rest of the pack, blurring the line between the classic sci-fi weapon utilized by users of the Force and a tool of war more at home in 16th century Europe. It also has a rich history centered around Mandalorian culture and was notably created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi.

That being said, there is at least one other weapon in Star Wars Legends that holds a similar level of individuality that could potentially rival the Darksaber if it appears in canon. Tionne Solusar, who was first introduced to Star Wars fans in Kevin J. Anderson's 1994 novel titled Dark Apprentice, was one of the first students to train under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker. Solusar spent the better part of a year searching for a spiral mist horn in order to combine it with a crystal pearl, resulting in a one-of-a-kind silver lightsaber, the likes of which has never before been seen in the Star Wars universe. Her role as one of Luke Skywalker's first padawans, combined with her entirely unique Lightsaber, may well make her an ideal candidate to feature in an upcoming season in one of the Disney+ spinoff shows.

DIn Djarin with the Darksaber in The Book of Boba Fett

Tionne Solusar is yet to make her live-action or animated debut, but as Disney+ continues to delve into canon with the likes of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show, it would be no shock to see her feature in the near future. Should the shows begin to explore Luke Skywalker's reformation of the Jedi Order, it would be a huge missed opportunity if Solusar, and her silver lightsaber, do not make an appearance. She also plays a major role in the Second Galactic Civil War, a period of Star Wars history that is crying out for mainstream adaption. To date, an exact image of Tionne's silver lightsaber hasn't been revealed, so introducing the character to an upcoming Star Wars project could give the weapon its time to shine.

In a universe that is synonymous with unique iconography, the Darksaber truly stands out. However, Tionne Solusar's silver spiral mist horn lightsaber has the potential to be just as distinct and individual as Din Djarin's blade. Whilst it may not have the custom quirks that the aforementioned Lightwhip possesses, a pure silver Lightsaber could well become a core piece of iconography synonymous with a new era of Star Wars adaptions. Fans of Star Wars lore will no doubt be keeping their fingers crossed for a live-action debut in the upcoming seasons of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
