Here's a complete guide to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 voice cast and characters. The long-running animated series served as a continuation of the Star Wars franchise at a time when no other movies or TV shows were being made. Created by George Lucas and run by Dave Filoni, Clone Wars debuted in 2008 after the release of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars "movie" - which was just an assembly of episodes that weren't intended to play in that format.

Taking place in between the events of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the series is responsible for some significant developments in the galaxy far, far away. The introduction of Anakin Skywalker's Padawan, a better exploration of Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi's brotherly bond, the revival of Maul, and showing the perspective of the clones on the war are just a few reasons why Clone Wars became an essential - and beloved - piece of Star Wars canon.

After Disney acquired Lucasfilm, the show was canceled after season 5, but a sixth season later debuted on Netflix as "The Lost Missions." However, Disney and Lucasfilm announced in 2018 that Clone Wars would receive a proper send off in the form of a seventh season, one that will bring Ahsoka and Anakin back together, show the Seige of Mandalore, and much more. This allows most of the main characters from the series to return, so here's a rundown of who voices each one.

Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker Clone Wars Season 7

Anakin Skywalker returns for Clone Wars season 7 with Matt Lanter once again voicing the powerful Jedi. The continuation of Anakin's story will bring him even closer to his turn to the dark side. Following in the footsteps of Hayden Christensen, Lanter has been the one to take over the role of Anakin. He's played Anakin in the previous six seasons of the series and in various video games, as well as a short stint on Star Wars: Rebels. Outside of Star Wars, Lanter is best known for his role in Timeless and as the voice of Flash Thompson aka Agent Venom in Ultimate Spider-Man. He also recently appeared in The Mandalorian, but not as Anakin.

James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Kenobi ponders in Clone Wars

Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is back in Clone Wars season 7 as well, and James Arnold Taylor is once again the voice of him. Obi-Wan's upcoming appearance will see him back in action with the clones and paired up with Mace Windu based on the trailers. James Arnold Taylor took over as the voice of Obi-Wan after Ewan McGregor's portrayal in the prequels, voicing him in the previous six seasons of Clone Wars, as well as in Rebels and in video games. Although Obi-Wan is the work he's best known for, the prolific voice actor has also played The Flash in Young Justice, Yondu in the animated Guardians of the Galaxy TV show, and much more.

Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano faces off with Maul during the Siege of Mandalore in Clone Wars Season 7

Ahsoka Tano returns to the Clone Wars story after walking away from the Jedi Order at the end of season 5, and Ashley Eckstein is back to voice the fan-favorite character. The new batch of episodes will finally explore what happened next for Ahsoka and show her involvement in the Seige of Mandalore, including an epic fight Darth Maul. Eckstein is once again voicing Ahsoka and is the only actress to ever bring her to life, including a brief voice cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In addition to her work in the Star Wars franchise, viewers may recognize Eckstein's voice from her work as Cheetah in DC Super Hero Girls or Dagger in Ultimate Spider-Man.

Sam Witwer as Maul

Darth Maul Lightsaber

Clone Wars season 7 will also bring Sam Witwer back as the voice of Maul. The new episodes will show Maul defending his reign over Mandalore, bridging the gap between his last appearance in the show and his state in Solo: A Star Wars Story - which Witwer provided the voice for. Witwer is a recurring voice in the Star Wars universe as he played Starkiller in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, voiced Palpatine in various projects, and has voiced more characters in Clone WarsRebels, and Star Wars Resistance. Outside of his voice acting, Witwer has also played Agent Liberty in Supergirl, Rupert Chipping in Riverdale, and Mr. Hyde in Once Upon a Time.

Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze

Katee Sackhoff returns to Clone Wars for season 7 as well to continue Bo-Katan Kryze's story. She was last seen in season 5 fleeing Mandalore after the death of her sister Satine, but she'll now work with Ahsoka and some clones to take it back. However, Bo-Katan returned for a small role in Rebels too, which Sackhoff did voice work for as well. She is best known for her role as Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace in Battlestar Galactica, but some of her other notable credits include RiddickLongmire, and as Amunet Black on The Flash.

Tom Kane as Yoda

Yoda Star Wars Clone Wars

Viewers will also see the return of Yoda in Clone Wars season 7 and hear the voice of Tom Kane once again. The trailers for Clone Wars' return have only shown Yoda as a hologram, so it is unclear how big of a role he'll have after his journey to discover how to be a Force ghost at the end of season 6. Frank Oz may best be associated as the voice of Yoda, but Kane has played the Jedi Master multiple times throughout his career. Kane has been part of the Star Wars family for years and has also voiced the narrator for Clone Wars and Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But, he's been voicing Yoda in various video games and TV shows since 2001.

Terrence Carson as Mace Windu

Mace Windu in Star Wars The Clone Wars

The return of Mace Windu in season 7 will once again bring Terrence Carson back as the voice of the character. Mace's level of involvement in the new season is unclear, as he's been shown in meetings and in the battlefield with Obi-Wan. Carson began voicing the character in video games in 2002 and has continued to play the character Samuel L. Jackson first brought to the screen in multiple projects since. Outside of Star Wars, Carson appeared in Final Destination 2, is the voice of Kratos in the God of War games, and recently starred in Last Call.

Catherine Taber as Padmé Amidala

The Clone Wars Trailer Anakin and Pregnant Padme

With Padmé Amidala's return confirmed in the marketing, Catherine Taber will be back to voice the character too. As shown in the trailers, Padmé's return will show her pregnant state, even though Anakin was unaware of this fact in Revenge of the Sith. Those well-versed in other Star Wars media may also recognize Taber as the voice of Vette in the Star Wars: The Old Republic games, Leia Organa in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed I & II, or even Numa in Rebels. Taber's other credits include The Loud House and Robot Chicken.

Dee Bradley Baker as Rex, Cody, & Other Clones

Rex and Cody await the arrival of Clone Force 99 in The Clone Wars

The continuation of Clone Wars couldn't happen without more stories for the clones themselves, which will give Dee Bradley Baker plenty to do. As the voice of Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and many other clones, his voice will play a central role in the new season. With Order 66 nearing and the introduction of the Bad Batch, Rex and Cody won't be the only clones who are prominently featured now. In addition to these roles, viewers may recognize Dee's voice from his work on American DadSpongeBob SquarePants, or even Star Wars Resistance.

Admiral Trench – Dee Bradley Baker

Dee Bradley Baker is also set to reprise his role as Admiral Trench in Clone Wars season 7 too. He was introduced in season 2 of the series and then returned in season 5 sporting his new robotic look. Now, Trench will cross paths with Anakin once again in the new episodes. Based on what is already known about the plans for the first few episodes, Trench could have an important role early on in Star Wars: The Clone Wars' return.
