The final season for Star Wars: The Clone Wars launches on Disney+ in February 2020. Before Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney, The Clone Wars animated series was adding to the lore in between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. After six seasons though, the plug was unexpectedly pulled on the series. The move left some storylines unfinished and left fans dying to know what happened next for then fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano.

While her story continued in Star Wars Rebels, there was still a desire from many fans to see how The Clone Wars was intended to wrap up. The sixth, and at the time final, season of the show was made up of "lost episodes" that never made it to air before. But, Lucasfilm surprisingly announced that the series would get a proper conclusion as part of Disney's streaming service.

During the Disney+ D23 2019 panel, it was confirmed that the seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will launch in February of 2020. No more specific date than that was given. This will put the new season on the service roughly four months after launch, giving fans both old and a new a chance to binge the series in the entirety on Disney+ before then.

Now that a release window for the final episodes of Clone Wars has been set, it won't be too long before fans get to experience the conclusion. Lucasfilm has already begun promoting the new season too. They released a teaser trailer upon the original revival announcement that gave fans the first look at the story. But, it was in a more recent trailer at Star Wars Celebration that they showed off even more footage from the final episodes. The new episodes will include more of Ahsoka and Darth Maul, in addition to Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Some of the major storylines that they will address include the siege of Mandalore.

The release of Clone Wars in early 2020 will continue what will be a busy few months for the Star Wars franchise. The final season of Star Wars Resistance will start airing in October. The first live-action series The Mandalorian - which just dropped its first trailer - will then launch on Disney+ in November. With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuting in theaters in December and bringing an end to the Skywalker Saga, there will be plenty of Star Wars content for fans to enjoy in the lead-up to Star Wars: The Clone Wars ending.
