The first episode of a new Star Wars show, The Book of Boba Fett, was released just before the new year on December 29th, 2021. It’s too soon to tell how similar in style this spin-off will be to The Mandalorian, or if it will have similar one-episode characters. There was a tendency in The Mandalorian for key characters either in an episode or in the Star Wars franchise to appear just once in the series - and it worked well!

Looking back at another Star Wars show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the same trend works again - many great characters who only appear in one episode throughout the series.

Kerch Kushi

Kerch Kushi in The Clone Wars

Kerch Kushi was a senator in the Separatist Congress. During Season 3 Episode 10 “Heroes On Both Side,” Kerch Kushi sides with Mina Boteri to open peace treaties with the Republic and put an end to the war. He shows that not all Separatist leaders were in support of the conflict. It was very important for the Republic to gain as many allies on their side during this turbulent time. Kerch Kushi could have been a valuable like-minded politician to help Senator Amidala and the other Republic senators who were fighting for peace.

Feral

Feral looking serious in The Clone Wars

Feral was a male Zabrak from the planet Dathomir, the home planet of the legendary Darth Maul. Feral is seen in Season 3 Episode 13: “Monster,” as Savage Opress’s brother. Male Zabrak’s are skilled warriors and bred to fight.  Feral is one of the characters that provides fans with an inside look into what these warriors can do while showing that not all of the men from this planet are evil. It’s interesting to understand more about Darth Maul’s species and find out why they are sought out by the Sith.

Numa

Numa and a Clone Trooper in Star Wars The Clone Wars

Numa was a young Twi’lek girl that was found on the planet of Ryloth by two clone troopers, Waxer and Boil, while on a scouting mission. Numa is seen in Season 1 Episode 20: “Innocents on Ryloth.” Extremely smart and brave, Numa shows great promise towards becoming a soldier to protect her Twi’Lek people. Some suggest that the little girl shown in this episode could actually be Hera who later appears as one of the main characters in Star Wars: Rebels.

Nahdar Vebb

Nahdar Vebb, the former apprentice of the great Kit Fisto, was one of the newest Jedi that earned the title of Jedi Knight during the early stages of the Clone Wars.

Nahdar Vebb can be seen in Season 1 Episode 10: “Lair of Grievous.” A skilled fighter, Nahdar Vebb had great control over the force but was unfortunately outmatched by General Grievous and killed. It would have been awesome to see more of Nahdar Vebb in the series as he was a great example of the next generation of Jedi Knights with so much potential.

Ima-Gun Di

Ima Gun-Di with a lightsaber in The Clone Wars

Ima-Gun Di was a Jedi Master that was sent to Ryloth to aid the Twi’lek people and fight off Separatist armies in Season 3 Episode 3: “Supply Lines.” Ima-Gun Di is a great example of a Jedi who will do everything in his power to help the people he is tasked with protecting no matter the cost. Master Di was an extremely wise and powerful Jedi, a skilled swordsman and a man of honor, giving his life to save others. Ima-Gun Di was sadly killed in battle on Ryloth.

Jek

Jek looking down in The Clone Wars

Jek was one of the clone troopers that fought alongside Master Yoda in Season 1 Episode 1: “Ambush.” Jek was known as a weapons specialist and carried heavy artillery like a rocket launcher and a heavy-duty gatling-like blaster. Jek gained valuable experience in the battlefield supporting Master Yoda and held his own in combat, destroying many droids.

What’s great about Star Wars: The Clone Wars is that fans get to know the clone troopers more closely and develop attachments to specific ones based on their personalities, storylines, and battle skills. Jek would have proven to be a strong soldier to support the main characters in battles to come.

Cut Lawquane

Captain Rex comes across a clone who has deserted from the Galatic Republic named Cut Luquane in the Clone Wars

Cut Lawquane appears in Season 2 Episode 10: “The Deserter.”  He was a former soldier in the clone army who ended up deserting.  After running away from the army, Cut met a Twi’lek woman whom he married and had two children with. It’s interesting to see that the clone troopers are capable of having a life outside of fighting. Cut shows that the clones are capable of much more than what they were programmed to do. It would have been worthwhile to expand upon one of the coolest clone arcs in The Clone Wars

Sifo Dyas

Sifo-Dyas talking to someone in Clone Wars

The mystery of what happened to Jedi Master Sifo Dyas is one of the biggest in the franchise. Sifo Dyas is mentioned throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars as he is the Jedi that ordered the clone army to be built by the Kaminoans, but much of his story remains a mystery. A vision of Sifo Dyas appears to Master Yoda in Season 6 Episode 13: “Sacrifice.” This is the first time we actually see Sifo Dyas although he is one of the most important characters in the entire Star Wars franchise.

Chewbacca

Chewbacca in The Clone Wars

Everyone’s favorite Wookie appears in Season 3 Episode 22: “Wookie Hunt.” It’s incredible to see Chewbacca as a younger Wookie helping out Ashoka in the Clone Wars. While unexpected, it is a known fact that Chewbacca was a soldier in the Clone Wars but his various adventures are always rather vague, so to see him in action is really sweet. Chewbacca is one of the original characters and one of the best fighters in Star Wars, always willing to lend a helping hand to those that need it. It would have been well received to see more of the gentle giant throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Quinlon Vos

Quinlan Vos making two fists in Star Wars The Clone Wars

Quinlon Vos was a Jedi Knight from Kiffar who appears in Season 3 Episode 9: “Hunt For Ziro.” Quinlon is seen as the outsider of the Jedi order.  Many think of him to be a little “crazy” because of his unorthodox tactics and carefree personality. Extremely strong with the force, Quinlon is a great tracker with the ability to have visions just by touching an object. He’s extremely wise, being able to provide insight on situations the typical Jedi wouldn’t think of. Quinlon Vos was such a skilled Jedi that he was actually the master of Aayla Secura, one of the strongest and most important Jedi during the Clones Wars. Though he did not appear again in this series, it is rumored that the Jedi could make a Star Wars return in one of the new live actions.
