Star Wars returned to animated television with The Bad Batch, based on the characters introduced in The Clone Wars. This is part of the new Star Wars television universe on Disney+, shows that connect and tie into the movie world as official parts of the franchise canon.

As a major animated series on Disney+, and one that Lucasfilm hopes will be as successful as The Mandalorian and open the door for future installments, the production brought in a great voice cast. A few of the names came straight from previous Star Wars projects while others have big names in animation outside of the science fiction franchise.

Dee Bradley Baker - Space Jam

Dee Bradley Baker is a voice actor with hundreds of credits to his name. When it comes to The Bad Batch, Baker voices every one of the clone troopers, including the Bad Batch itself. Fans of Space Jam also heard him voice two very popular characters in that movie — Daffy Duck and the Tasmanian Devil. Baker did not return to voice the same characters for the 2021 sequel with LeBron James.

Dee Bradley Baker - Star Wars: The Clone Wars

As mentioned, Dee Bradley Baker voices every clone, including the Bad Batch. This is because all clones are based on Jango Fett, so all have the same voice. This continues his performance in this role from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. He also voiced clone troopers in an episode of Robot Chicken, a pair of Star Wars LEGO movies, and in the videogames Star Wars Battlefront II and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Michelle Ang - Fear The Walking Dead

Michelle Ang voices the character Omega, the child clone that has joined forces with the Bad Batch as they go on the run from the Empire and former teammate Crosshair. Ang is a former Emmy-nominee, picking up the nomination for playing Alex in the short series Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462. This was a series that showed an infestation start on an airplane trip and helped lead into the AMC spinoff series. She also appeared in two episodes of Fear the Walking Dead as the same character.

Freddie Prinze Jr. - Scooby-Doo

One fan favorite moment in the first episode of The Bad Batch came when Order 66 was sent out and the clones turned on the Jedis they fought with and began to kill them. The Bad Batch was with Depa Billaba and Caleb Dume at the time. Depa died and Caleb ran.

Caleb Dume was a major character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Disney brought back the same voice actor in Freddie Prinze Jr. Fans will recognize him in many things, including his role as Fred Jones in the first live-action Scooby-Doo movie and its sequel.

Ian McDiarmid - Star Wars

Ian McDiarmid was another Star Wars veteran brought back for The Bad Batch. While Peter Cushing died in 1994 and the voice actor for Tarkin had to change at that time, Ian McDiarmid, the man who voices The Emperor, is still alive at 76 and still working. While it was archival recordings of the actor, it was McDiarmid's voice calling out the Order 66 and setting the clones onto the Jedi's. McDiarmid voiced the Emperor in Return of the Jedi and all three prequels.

Andrew Kishino - Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Andrew Kishino voiced Saw Gerrera for the first time in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. While it was Forest Whitaker who played him in Rogue One: A Star Wars StoryThe Bad Batch chose to bring back Kishino to return to the role once again for this animated series. Outside of his role as Saw in Star Wars, Kishino also took on an iconic role in the 2019 animated movie Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where he voiced the evil Shredder.

Stephen Stanton - Rogue One

Stephen Stanton returned to voice a character from his past. With Peter Cushing no longer alive, it was Stanton who took over the role of Wilhuff Tarkin in the animated Star Wars world. He voiced the character in Star Wars: The Clone WarsStar Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

However, this wasn't Stanton's only role in the Star Wars universe. He also voiced an alien character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In that movie, he voiced Admiral Raddus, a Mon Calamari admiral who served the alliance.

Ming-Na Wen - Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ming-Na Wen returned to The Bad Batch in the role of Fennec Shand. She made her live-action debut in the role in The Mandalorian and will be part of The Book of Boba Fett series on Disney+. She plays the character in The Bad Batch as she hunts down Omega. Wen has been in several major roles, including voicing Mulan in the animated Disney movie and starring as Agent Melinda May in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Bob Bergen - Looney Tunes Cartoons

Bob Bergen is a full-time voice actor for a variety of movie and TV projects. In The Bad Batch, Bergen voices Lama Su, the male Kaminoan statesman who was in charge of creating clones for the Galactic Republic to use. He is a huge name in voice acting, as he works for Loony Tunes, and is the current voice of Porky Pig and Tweety Bird. He will voice both in the upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Gwendoline Yeo - Desperate Housewives

Gwendoline Yeo is another Star Wars animated voice acting regular. In The Bad Batch. Yeo voices Nala Se, the Kaminoan female doctor and scientist who had possession of Omega before the child escaped with the Bad Batch. She voiced the same character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Outside of voice acting, she also had a recurring role on Desperate Housewives as Xiao-Mei, the Solis family's surrogate mother.
