The Star Wars empire of shows at Disney+ continues to expand, with news that upcoming series Andor is moving forward with two more episode directors. The new hires for the massive production join Toby Haynes (Black Mirror: USS Callister) in a growing group headed by series showrunner Tony Gilroy, who originally developed the title character as co-writer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Now Discussing Film confirms that filmmakers Susanna White and Ben Caron have been added to the roster of Andor directors for the Rogue One prequel series. White previously directed episodes of Boardwalk EmpireBillions, and Masters of Sex, among many others, as well as the feature film Nanny McPhee Returns. Interestingly, she also directed two Disney+ Star Wars stars - Andor's Stellan Skarsgard and Obi-Wan himself, Ewan McGregor - in the movie Our Kind of Traitor. Meanwhile, Caron comes to Andor having helmed 11 episodes of the Netflix hit The Crown, on which he also serves as an executive producer.

Diego Luna will reprise his Rogue One character of Rebel spy Cassian Andor to head up the series, joined by Genevieve O’Reilly returning as Rebellion leader Mon Mothma, a role she also played in Revenge of the Sith and voiced for Star Wars Rebels. The character was originated by Caroline Blakiston in 1983's Return of the Jedi.

Disney plus Andor

Additional Andor cast members include Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Adria Arjona, while the series also boasts scripts by writers Beau Willimon (House of Cards), Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler), and Stephen Schiff (The Americans). Andor is currently slated to arrive next year, between The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan. No word yet on when exactly to expect Star Wars series AhsokaLando, The Acolyte, or Rangers of the New Republic.
