Disney+ have provided yet another exciting upcoming Star Wars series with the announcement of Andor, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel starring Diego Luna's Cassian Andor. The end of Rogue One showed how Cassian's story in the galaxy far, far away ends. As a member of Rogue One, the Rebel spy worked with Jyn Erso and others to steal the Death Star plans. But, the daring mission ended with his death, along with every other member of Rogue One.

Despite Cassian's story coming to a close, Lucasfilm and Disney will explore more of his past. One of the Star Wars shows in development for Disney+ is a prequel to Rogue One that stars Andor. The series, aptly titled Andor, is set five years before the events of Andor's death. This setting gives Andor a chance to show how Cassian became the hardened soldier that audiences were introduced to back in 2016. The series almost didn't move forward prior to Tony Gilroy, who oversaw reshoots on Rogue One, joined the project to get it ready for Disney+.

In addition to showing a sizzle reel for the show that includes multiple pieces of concept art, here's everything that's been currently revealed about Andor.

The twelve-episode first season of Andor should be ready for a spring or summer 2022 release.
