Live-Action Ahsoka Still Possible According to Star Wars: Clone Wars Creator

The creator of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars teases the possibility of a live-action Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka was created by Dave Filoni and George Lucas for the 2008 film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was the first and only animated Star Wars film to see a theatrical release. Ahsoka had an active role during the rise and fall of the Galactic Republic and quickly became a fan-favorite character.

In The Clone Wars movie, Ahsoka was introduced as a Padawan apprentice of Anakin Skywalker. Across the animated series, Ahsoka became a Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic and was later framed for murder. After she was proven innocent, she decided to leave the Jedi Council. To fans' delight, the character returned for Star Wars Rebels as a recurring character and an ally to Ezra Bridger. Ahsoka is one of the biggest characters to come from the animated side of Star Wars, yet she has never been adapted for a live-action Star Wars movie or TV show. However, that may soon change.

When IGN (via Bespin Bulletin) asked Filoni if fans will ever see a live-action version of Ahsoka, Filoni giggled to himself before answering, "Yeah, you know... never say never." Filoni's response seems rather telling, but as of right now, an appearance of a live-action Ahsoka has not been confirmed. A video of Filoni's response can be viewed below:

Fans got to see plenty of Ahsoka in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, but Ahsoka's story arc isn't complete. At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, a revival of The Clone Wars was announced. Based on The Clone Wars season 7 trailer, a big part of the story looks to be about Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Council, with The Clone Wars season 7 also concluding the seriesThe Clone Wars season 7 will premiere on Disney+ in February 2020, but it's possible Ahsoka could make an appearance in one of the other live-action Star Wars shows coming to the streaming service.

Based on Filoni's response to IGN's question about a live-action Ahsoka, it's possible that she could make an appearance in The Mandalorian, the Rogue One prequel series, or the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. That being said, if fans do get a live-action Ahsoka, she would most likely appear in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series since Kenobi was active during the Clone Wars. With Ahsoka being popular with fans thanks to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, introducing her in one of the Disney+ live-action shows would be a smart move, but only time will tell if it actually happens.
