Ahsoka Tano actors Ashley Eckstein and Rosario Dawson unite, as both Star Wars stars meet in a fun photo taken during a recent convention appearance. Eckstein first voiced Ahsoka Tano in 2008's Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and its subsequent television series, before reprising her role for Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. Dawson would then bring the character to life in live-action during The Mandalorian season 2, reprising the role in The Book of Boba Fett before leading her own series in the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ series.

In a post shared by Eckstein on her personal Instagram account, the voice actor shared a photograph she took when she reunited with Dawson following their meeting during Ahsoka's production. The reunion came during a recent convention appearance at GalaxyCon Columbus. Alongside the photograph, Eckstein used the hashtags #teamtano and #ahsokalivesinallofus, celebrating the fan-favorite Star Wars character that she and Dawson have brought to life. When Will Ahsoka Appear Next in the Star Wars Universe

Star Wars Tales of the Jedi Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano-1

As one of Star Wars animation's breakout characters, Ahsoka has gathered a strong fanbase of her own who anticipate where she may appear next. Eckstein recently reprised Ahsoka for Tales of the Jedi, an animated anthology series of shorts that explored the lives of members of the Jedi Order and in which Ahsoka was a key focus. Dawson will portray Ahsoka once more in the live-action Ahsoka Disney+ series in 2023, spinning out of her previous appearances across The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The series will see Ahsoka join forces with Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) to locate Imperial leader Grand Admiral Thrawn, in hopes of reuniting with missing Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfadi) following the events of Star Wars: Rebels.

However, Ahsoka's on-screen future beyond her own series is currently unclear. While it's been confirmed by Ahsoka's creator Dave Filoni that Eckstein would always portray the character in animation, Ahsoka won't appear in The Bad Batch. Despite this, Filoni's guarantee that Eckstein will always portray Ahsoka in animation does suggest that the character's animated future is secure. While potential future seasons of Tales of the Jedi may shift focus to new members of the order, Ahsoka could play a supporting role to the episode's central character, depending on if it takes place in an era when she was active. Furthermore, Dawson's Ahsoka could return to aid Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin in The Mandalorian's future seasons, potentially playing a key part in the concluding chapters of the shared narrative of Filoni and Jon Favreau's post-Return of the Jedi period.

Despite not debuting in the Skywalker Saga, Ahsoka has become a character who is just as recognizable as Star Wars' main leading characters, including Rey (Daisy Ridley), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen). Ahsoka's life has been chronicled across both animation and live-action, from the day she was born, the trial and tribulations she endured as a Padawan during the Clone Wars, to acting as a Rebel agent and mentor during the Dark Times of the Empire's reign. This means that audiences have spent more time with her than most other characters from the franchise. After spending over a decade watching the character grow both in-universe and in terms of recognizability, many dedicated fans are sure to be excited to see both Eckstein and Dawson who brought Ahsoka to life unite to celebrate the fan-favorite character.
