Members of the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker cast praise the film on social media after attending a private screening. In just a couple of weeks, audiences will finally have a chance to see the movie for themselves, witnessing the end of the iconic Skywalker saga. Anticipation for the film's arrival has been steadily rising over the past few weeks, with Disney kicking their marketing efforts into overdrive. And now that director J.J. Abrams has locked in his final cut of the picture, the biggest question on fans' minds is if The Rise of Skywalker will indeed be the satisfying conclusion to the series it's being sold as.

The Rise of Skywalker's world premiere takes place on Monday, December 16, at which time attendees will share their responses to the film. But before that happens, Abrams held his own screening for his cast, so they had an opportunity to watch The Rise of Skywalker before anyone else. And, as viewers might expect, the actors absolutely love it.

On Twitter, Richard E. Grant (who plays the First Order's Allegiant General Pryde) and Joonas Suotamo (who's reprising Chewbacca) shared their thoughts on The Rise of Skywalker. You can see their posts in the space below.

It isn't exactly shocking news for actors to praise a movie they're in mere weeks before it's released to the general public. The last thing Disney wants is the negative publicity that would come from someone bashing the final product. So, these responses are to be expected, but they're nevertheless encouraging and will help build further buzz for The Rise of Skywalker. Grant's video is particularly delightful. It seems like he's genuinely humbled to be a part of the movie and was floored by what he saw. The veteran actor's pure giddiness is a strong vote of confidence in what Abrams delivered, and hopefully most viewers feel the same way. Obviously, The Rise of Skywalker isn't going to please everyone, but if it left that kind of an impression on an Oscar nominee, odds are it's something special.

Grant saying "nothing prepares you for this" is attention-grabbing in the sense that Abrams has earned a bit of a reputation for playing things safe in his films. However, on The Rise of Skywalker, he admitted he was more open to taking risks, so it'll be interesting to see what sort of curveballs he has up his sleeve. And even if Abrams has been beholden to nostalgia in the past, he's always succeeded at crafting crowd-pleasing blockbusters packed with excitement and emotion. Judging by his track record (which does include a previous Star Wars movie), it's no surprise he was able to do that again.
