Star Wars 9 Sunset Scene Left Rise of Skywalker Crew Shaken

One sunset scene in particular left the crew of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker visibly shaken after filming, according to Daisy Ridley.

According to Daisy Ridley, one scene in particular in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker left the film's crew visibly shaken after they finished shooting. Touted as the end of the Skywalker sagaStar Wars Episode IX is set to release in a little over a month from now, and after Rian Johnson's previous highly-controversial entry The Last Jedi setting the stage for the iconic series' send-off no one really has any idea what to expect next.

From rumors about Princess Leia's final role to news the movie franchise will be on hiatus after Rise of Skywalker's release, Star Wars Episode IX has been nothing if not a curious examination of what happens when a company both tries to hold on to and be free with an IP. Although a number of fans were disappointed with J. J. Abram's Star Wars Episode VII, with many considering it to be nothing but a retread of A New Hope, Rian Johnson's vision was not what most viewers had in mind either. Now, Abrams has returned to hopefully finish the saga in a way which will please both new and old fans of Star Wars alike.

According to an interview with AdoroCinemathere was one scene in particular which Daisy Ridley filmed at sunset that left the crew visibly shaken. "It was just a short scene, we filmed very fast," Ridley said of their last day filming in Jordan. As the natural light around them faded, Ridley said the moment "touched me a lot."

"The crew was shaken in a way I had not seen before," the starring actress stated. "And I thought, My god, if this is people's immediate reaction when the scene isn't even ready, imagine what it'll be like to see it in the movies." Truly, currently all the fans can do is imagine, because the only sunset scene featuring Rey shown in the trailer above shows her hugging Carrie Fisher, something which could not possibly have been filmed recently.

Fans wondering just what scene Daisy Ridley is referring to will have to wait until December 20th, a little over a month from now, until Rise of Skywalker is scheduled to release. Although there are a number of Disney+ Star Wars shows which will undoubtedly keep the franchise alive moving forward, many fans are looking forward to finally closing the book on the Skywalker saga once and for all after the upcoming film releases. Hopefully, known mystery box enthusiast J. J. Abrams will be able to tie up this nearly 50-year long franchise with something better than the ending to Lost
