Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker LEGO sets reveal the film's new Millennium Falcon design. With just under four months to go until Star Wars 9 hits theaters, Lucasfilm is poised to rev up the promotional efforts in a major way. This weekend, Star Wars will have a major presence at the D23 Expo, where The Rise of Skywalker will be featured during the Walt Disney Studios panel. Upcoming TV series The Mandalorian will be spotlighted during the Disney+ Showcase presentation.

In the fall, anticipation for both of these projects will reach a fever pitch, and it'll be time for another one of Lucasfilm's trademark Force Friday events. The unofficial holiday marks the arrival of the first wave of tie-in merchandise for the new films (and in this year's case, TV shows and video games) and fans flock to the store to add to their collections. Lucasfilm has a variety of licensing partners that get in on the action, including famed toy company LEGO. And with still a little wait before the next Force Friday, fans can get a taste of what LEGO will have to offer.

Appearing on Imgur (hat tip Star Wars News Net) are a series of images of the new LEGO sets for this year. A majority of them connect to The Rise of Skywalker, including the latest Millennium Falcon, the Pasaana speeder chase, Y-wing, A-wing, and Kylo Ren's shuttle. The AT-ST kit features minifigures from The Mandalorian, such as Cara Dune and the titular Mandalorian. There are also the prerequisite toys connecting to earlier films, like the Death Star cannon. Screen Rant reached out to Disney for comment, who said they have not announced any new LEGO Star Wars products yet.

Fans will notice once again, the Falcon has a new radar dish. During the first two installments of the sequel trilogy, the ship had a rectangular one to take the place of the original round one from the classic trilogy. But, in a moment that mirrored its flight through the second Death Star, the rectangular rectenna was knocked off in the salt mines of Crait. During the one-year time jump between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, it appears the ship had some repairs. Hopefully Lando Calrissian takes good care of his old vehicle, and the Falcon makes it out of the Skywalker saga in one piece. The Falcon set includes minifigures for Lando, Chewbacca, Finn, C-3PO, R2-D2, D-0, and an unknown alien - implying this group is together for at least part of the movie.

Imagery like Keri Russell's Zorri Bliss flying a Resistance Y-wing and Snap Wexley returning to pilot an A-wing is cool, but it's probably not worth reading too much into these sets just yet. Lucasfilm doesn't always share plot spoilers with toy manufacturers, and since these LEGO sets will probably be on shelves come October, they aren't going to contain any huge revelations. Of course, LEGO wants to make products that accurately depict the film, but they likely had somewhat limited sources to draw from when making this first batch. Still, it's exciting to get a look at these sets, as it illustrates Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is right around the corner.
