Kylo Ren's repaired helmet, Lando's new look, and more character details have possibly been revealed in some Star Wars: Episode IX reference art. Lucasfilm successfully relaunched the Star Wars universe a few years back and are now set to close out the main trilogy later this year. Director J.J. Abrams is returning to the franchise after previously helming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and just like his last production in the galaxy far, far away, the latest installment has been shrouded in secrecy.

Fans have been eager to get some details on Star Wars 9 ever since Star Wars: The Last Jedi ended. So far, there has been no information from official sources about the upcoming story, although a recent report suggests a threat from "The Beyond" will unite Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley). The lack of information from Lucasfilm isn't surprising, but it has led to theories and speculation running wild. Now, some art that is reportedly from the movie helps confirm prior rumors and possibly shut down other theories.

New reference art from Star Wars 9 surfaced on the Star Wars Leaks Reddit page recently and make for the first real details on the film. The art includes looks at several new alien designs for the film, as well as costume changes for most of the main cast. There's even possible confirmation on who Richard E. Grant and Dominic Monaghan are playing. See the photos by clicking the link below:

This art mostly provides fans with brand new details on Star Wars 9, but it does confirm the prior report of Kylo's helmet being repaired with a red bonding material. The art also lines up fairly well with some of the earliest set photos that featured Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) in his "adventure" look. Additionally, the art reveals Rey in a completely white outfit, and Lando back in his yellow shirt and black cape, even though he reportedly won't have a large role.

These developments for familiar characters are nice, but the designs for Grant and Monaghan's roles are what fans may be most interested in. If this art is legitimate, then Grant will be playing a First Order officer - and not Admiral Thrawn, a young Snoke, or any other popular fan theories. Monaghan, on the other hand, appears to be playing a Resistance officer, which could end the theories that he is a member of the Knights of Ren. None of these photos reference other casting additions Keri Russell and Matt Smith, although it is possible they could voice one of the new aliens that are shown. As fans wait for Star Wars: Episode IX to wrap production and for Lucasfilm to release the official title, it may still be a while before any of these details are actually confirmed by anyone involved.
