The latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi leaks showcase villain Kylo Ren and new Resistance character Rose Tico in LEGO form ahead of their official unveiling this fall for Force Friday. Moviegoers are still trying to make sense of Phil Lord and Chris Miller's sudden departure from the young Han Solo spinoff movie, but excitement for Episode VIII remains high. Fans have poured over any detail they can find and are even interacting with writer/director Rian Johnson to get a better sense of what he has in store. Just yesterday, a new Star Wars 8 trailer was classified, meaning another look at the blockbuster should be coming soon.

Since Lucasfilm's official marketing campaign for the film has been typically brief, leaks of promotional art and toys have been the source of much discussion in recent weeks. A few days ago, looks at Finn and Supreme Leader Snoke's LEGO versions made their way online, giving viewers an idea of their costumes in the new movie. Now, more images of mini-figures are emerging on the Internet, highlighting the former Ben Solo and Rose.

Reddit (hat tip Star Wars News Net) was once again the source of the leaks. In addition to the two main characters, there are also photos of a First Order stormtrooper sergeant and an AT-M6 (the official designation of the "Gorilla Walkers") driver. It was previously reported the Kylo Ren figure would come in a set for his TIE fighter, along with Luke Skywalker. While that remains unconfirmed for the time being, it's evident LEGO is making use of Kylo in some capacity for their first wave of products. As part of his updated Episode VIII look, the master of the Knights of Ren is sporting a spiffy Darth Vader-esque cape and is sans helmet. The teaser trailer showed his mask smashed into several pieces, so it seems Kylo won't be wearing it for significant portions of the film. Rose is said to accompany Finn on a special mission for the Resistance, so her mini-figure is probably for a kit depicting an action sequence set on casino world Canto Bight. She looks determined and ready to take on the First Order and it'll be interesting to see how she fits into the story.

The Star Wars franchise is in a state of flux now following the Han Solo drama and fan uncertainty about Colin Trevorrow helming Episode IX after negative Book of Henry reviews, but most are still optimistic about Johnson's take on the universe. J.J. Abrams' Star Wars 7 got the sequel trilogy off to a rousing start, introducing a new cast of characters that became instant fan-favorites. Now, the director of Looper and some of the best Breaking Bad episodes is running with the baton, promising something that's different from the previous episodes while maintaining the classic Star Wars style. What's been unveiled so far is encouraging, and with a new trailer and Force Friday around the corner, fans should have a lot to be excited for.
