Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer #2

Continuing in the proud(?) tradition of previews of previews, MTV has debuted an exclusive preview of the final Star Trek Into Darkness trailer, which will premiere in its entirety tomorrow.

[UPDATE: The Official Trailer is Now Here!]

The trailer includes a lot of the familiar shots we've seen from previous Into Darkness trailers and images - including scenes of massive destruction to earth, Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) shooting through space, and the menace of villain John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch). We also get a few glimpses of some new action sequences throughout the film, suggesting that J.J. Abrams' sequel to his successful 2009 franchise reboot could indeed be a non-stop summer thrill ride.

Here's the official Star Trek Into Darkness synopsis:

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
