Although Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is set in the 23rd century, it could feature a guest appearance from Star Trek: Enterprise's T'Pol (Jolene Blalock). On The Main Viewer web show hosted on the Virtual Trek Con YouTube channel, the hosts speculated on the potential of T'Pol appearing on the upcoming Star Trek prequel series starring Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike. Indeed, Jolene Blalock was a guest of Star Trek Day in September 2021, which was a rare Trek appearance by the actress after Enterprise was canceled in 2005. This helped fuel excitement that Blalock may finally reprise her role as T'Pol in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Jolene Blalock starred as T'Pol in four seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise opposite Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer. Enterprise was a Star Trek prequel set in the 22nd century chronicling the voyage of the first Starship Enterprise, the NX-01. T'Pol served as the Enterprise's First Officer, Science Officer, and she was the Vulcan liaison although her loyalties ultimately aligned with Captain Archer and her human friends as the series progressed. Blalock was praised for how her portrayal of a Vulcan honored Leonard Nimoy, who pioneered the role of Spock and the logical, pointy-eared race. But T'Pol was also hyper-sexualized by Enterprise's producers, which drew controversy, as did the creative decision to romantically pair the Vulcan with Commander Trip Tucker (Connor Trinneer), which neither actor was happy about. Regardless, T'Pol emerged as a fan-favorite character whose fate hasn't been canonically revealed after Star Trek: Enterprise's cancelation.

T'Pol could easily appear on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds since, as a Vulcan, she would be remarkably long-lived. Strange New Worlds is set in the late 2250s after the USS Discovery time-traveled to the 32nd century at the end of Star Trek: Discovery season 2. This is roughly 100 years after the end of Star Trek: Enterprise when Captain Archer signed the charter of the United Federation of Planets in 2161. Since T'Pol was in her 50s during Star Trek: Enterprise's events, she should theoretically still be alive and in her 150s during Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It also wouldn't be hard to conjure a scenario where T'Pol could come aboard Captain Pike's USS Enterprise. After all, the Vulcan originated Number One's (Rebecca Romjin) duties as First Officer.

T’Pol Enterprise

T'Pol appearing in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds would be a historic crossover, especially since it would result in her meeting the young Spock (Ethan Peck). The two iconic Vulcans crossing paths aboard the Enterprise would be a major Star Trek event that would entice Trekkers of every generation to see Strange New Worlds. Meanwhile, Star Trek has repeatedly homaged Star Trek: Enterprise, which is canon in the Prime Universe and in the Kelvin timeline of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movies. Star Trek: Discovery season 4 even introduced the 32nd century Federation's Archer Space Dock, which honors Jonathan Archer, who was the first Federation President and Captain of the Enterprise.

Ironically, an aged T'Pol has already appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise season 3. In the episode "E2", Archer's Enterprise encountered an NX-01 from an alternate timeline which was crewed by the children of Archer's people. The matriarch of the other NX-01 was the elder T'Pol, who was about 120 years older than her counterpart. If T'Pol were to appear in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, she would be a couple of decades younger than the elder T'Pol was in "E2."

There were also other Vulcan characters in Star Trek: Enterprise, like Ambassador Soval (Gary Graham), who could still be alive and appear in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, but T'Pol is the best possible emissary from Star Trek: Enterprise. Jolene Blalock returning as her Vulcan icon to meet Captain Pike, Number One AKA Commander Una Chin-Riley, and Mr. Spock would be a Star Trek moment for the ages. If it happens, T'Pol on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds would also fittingly honor Star Trek: Enterprise's place in the franchise.
