Mark Hamill recently made a surprise appearance at Star Tours to the delight of fans. With Star Wars: The Last Jedi just a month away, Lucasfilm has started ramping up their marketing machine for the Rian Johnson-written and directed movie. We're not entirely sure, however, if Hamill's latest publicity stunt is part of that intricate plan given that the actor's year-round quirks. Having said that, it was definitely a nice gesture, especially for the fans who were graced by his presence during their Disneyland visit.
Over the last several months, Hamill has been having fun with The Last Jedi promos, particularly with fan theories, as well as, fan-created artwork and memes. Being the central figure of the film, he has also sat down in numerous interviews where he talked about really getting back into the franchise after his very brief appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Clearly, the actor is having fun with all his interactions with the massive fandom during all this time which is also why he is such a great ambassador for the franchise.
Documented and shared by Hamill himself on his official Twitter account, the clip starts with the host informing the guests that they will have a special guest, one that is really strong with the Force. Then entered the actor with his usual cheerful disposition and energetic antics. He was greeted with gasps that turned into cheers from visitors who were first dumbfounded by the surprise. On his caption, the 66-year-old jokingly wrote that he has finally fulfilled his dreams of working in Disneyland. Check out his tweet below:

Hamill, however, will be ditching his happy-go-lucky persona for a darker identity when The Last Jedi finally rolls out next month, as he steps back into Luke Skywalker's shoes as a changed man, traumatized by the wrong decisions that he made throughout his life. Whether we will find the old optimistic Jedi that we have grown to love from the original Star Wars trilogy by the end of the saga installment remains to be seen, but we can expect nothing less but a brilliant performance from the veteran actor.
Aside from Hamill's much-anticipated return of Luke Skywalker, there is a slew of things to look forward to in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This includes Rey's emotional parentage reveal and General Organa's ultimate fate, granted Carrie Fisher's untimely death. In regards to the dark side, we can expect that we will be given more context to Supreme Leader Snoke's bigger plan and Kylo Ren's character arc. Although, don't expect the film to answer all the burning mysteries that The Force Awakens planted as some of it are expected to be clarified on the still-untitled Star Wars 9 which will be directed and written by Episode VII helmer, J.J. Abrams.
