You're going to want to listen to A Star is Born's soundtrack after seeing the film. Here's every song you'll get to listen to again and again and again. A Star is Born been getting a lot of buzz, and with Lady Gaga making her film debut, along with all new music, there's a lot to be excited for. As the fourth version of A Star is Born, the oldest of which is from 1937, the romantic musical has a lot of updating to make it a modern story.

Not only is this Lady Gaga's lead acting debut, but also Bradley Cooper's first gig in the director's seat, having also written the screenplay. He stars as Jackson Maine, a singer-songwriter with a drinking problem, who meets and falls in love with Ally, an unknown singer-songwriter played by Lady Gaga. The movie also stars Sam Elliott and Dave Chappelle, while Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real appear as Jackson's band. Any musical movie starring Lady Gaga is certain to make use of her talents, and so it's no surprise to know she features heavily on the soundtrack, and so does Cooper.

It's worth noting that the A Star is Born soundtrack also contains several dialogue tracks, meaning there are 34 tracks in total, with just 19 of them being musical numbers. Altogether, the soundtrack is 75 minutes long. The songs are integral to the movie's plot, with Cooper stating that each track is "an evolution, like the story." At Lady Gaga's insistence, most of the album was recorded live on set.

Gaga and Cooper both collaborated with several country musicians to write A Star is Born's songs, which both of them also perform. While Gaga is obviously the musical powerhouse in the room, Cooper's a worthy partner, and their duet, Shallow, which you can listen to above, marked Cooper's Billboard chart debut and was the top-selling song for the week of October 4th, selling over 35,000 digital copies.
