Stan Lee Files Restraining Order Against Business Manager

Stan Lee in Captain America The Winter Soldier

Stan Lee files a restraining order against business manager Keya Morgan. The prolific comic book writer who was the mastermind behind some of the most iconic Marvel superheroes has just recently called Morgan his "only partner and business manager" as he's continuously rumored to be the subject of elder abuse.

Just earlier this month, a exuberant Lee released a video teasing fans of an special surprise that will be announced in the near future. The message was in light with the overwhelming support that he has received from his most loyal fans. Unfortunately, less than two weeks after that, a brand new development on the ongoing saga with regard to the real current situation of Lee has come to light as he reportedly files a restraining order against his business manager.

A report from The Wrap, citing information given by a media rep for the Los Angeles Superior Court, says that Lee has officially filed a restraining order against Morgan. It's unclear what prompted the 95-year-old to take a legal action against his business manager, but it comes just two days after Morgan was picked up by the police for filing a fake police report. While the specifics of the charges haven't been disclosed to the public yet, it presumably has something to do with previous reports that Lee was held at gunpoint outside his home by two armed men who were demanding money from him at the beginning of June.

It's such an understatement to say that the last year has been very tumultuous for Lee. Following the death of his wife of 70 years, Joan, the comic book writer's health deteriorated, resulting in him skipping some of his planned public engagements. Back in February, he was reportedly rushed to the hospital due to irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath. Luckily, he was eventually released after just one night. Meanwhile, the constant drama involving some of the people surrounding him has been a major cause of concern not just for his fans, but from other people in the nerd community as well. On top of that, he has also been accused of sexual harassment on two separate occasions by different women.

Just a few weeks ago, Lee once again started to be more active on social media - regularly posting updates on his Twitter account and engaging with fans. At one point, he even asked for help to recover his official Facebook account which is allegedly being controlled by someone else - although it's unclear who may have been behind the manipulation. Despite that, people can't help but be worried about the comic book writer, especially considering relentless rumors about him suffering abuse from, unfortunately, those closest to him including his daughter, J.C. Lee.
