It looks as if Lotus from Warframe will be the newest character to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimateaccording to a recent social media post by the game's official Twitter account. Recently, Smash Bros. Ultimate made headlines when it announced only six more fighters would be added to the game's roster, as many fans felt this definite cease on new character additions went against the core principle of the game's Ultimate title.

Many franchises are surely vying for representation in Nintendo's popular Smash Bros. series, including Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon, who recently stated he would like to see his favorite character from his own franchise, Scorpion, appear in Super Smash Bros. While the M-rated Mortal Kombat games may not be exactly what Nintendo is looking for when it comes to which franchises to advertise, they did eventually include PlatniumGames' Bayonetta, a character whose source material is not quite as family friendly as Nintendo is used to dealing with.
