YouTuber Mr. Beast has shared a special sneak peak of his highly anticipated, real-life Squid Game set. Squid Game premiered on Netflix on September 17th, 2021 and has captured society's attention ever since. Boasting over 3 billion minutes of watch time across its second week on the platform, Squid Game quickly broke Netflix viewership records. The hit series is a South Korean survival drama that follows 456 cash-strapped contestants as they compete in deadly children's games in hopes of winning a massive cash prize.

As the Netflix series continues to flourish, interest has rapidly risen in ideas to either recreate or participate in a real-life game similar to that shown in Squid Game. Of course, an exact replica of the game would be illegal in real-life due to the grisly deaths that the losers faced in the TV series. Fortunately, all of the games can be easily modified to be murder-free. In fact, a real-life Squid Game took place in Abu Dhabi and saw contestants competing in bloodless games of red light green light, Dalgona candy challenge, and Marbles and Ddakji. Recently, YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson (a.k.a Mr. Beast), known for pulling off massive and expensive videos, announced that he, too, would be holding a real-life version of Squid Game.

Now, MrBeast has shared several images on Twitter, revealing his real-life Squid Game set. Images show Mr. Beast recreating the playground-like environment where many of the games were carried out in the show. His attention to detail is quite impressive, as he attempts to replicate the cheery skyline wall paintings and over-sized playground equipment. Another photo seems to show him replicating the enormous and maze-like architecture that the contestants and guards are frequently seen navigating in the show. Check out the photos below:

Recreating Squid Game in real-life is one of Mr. Beast's biggest challenges yet, but he seems up for the task with these new images. Mr. Beast first made the announcement in early October, revealing his plans to host a real-life Squid Game if a certain TikTok video reached 10 million likes. That goal was swiftly smashed in a short amount of time, and the real-life Squid Game became a reality. He spent a month gathering contestants based on his TikTok followers and participants. He has since revealed that the recreation will cost him a staggering $2 million to complete. Little else is known about the specifics of the games, besides the fact that one of the 456 contestants will take home a cash prize of $456,000. From Mr. Beast's photos, it appears the set is just about finished, and the games will begin next week.

How Mr. Beast's Squid Game will turn out remains to be seen, but the prospects look good. First of all, pulling off massive stunts is what Mr. Beast is known for. He recently executed a massive game of tag which offered a $500,000 prize. He is known for not only spending insane amounts of money on his videos, but on also giving back equally large amounts to various charities and to his subscribers. The 456 Squid Game contestants who will get to participate in Mr. Beast's game will likely get the experience of a lifetime. Not only will they get to experience firsthand the emotions that made the series so popular, but one contestant will receive a life-changing prize at the end. Mr. Beast's Squid Game will be something to watch out for with its grand scale and to see just how realistic the series truly is when played out in real life.
