Fans will finally get to see more of Babylon's Fall at the end of September, with Square Enix confirming that the game will appear at the Tokyo Game Show as part of its lineup of upcoming titles. This will mark the first time that gamers have been able to see the game in several months.

Despite having an impressive pedigree, Babylon's Fall has been an incredibly secretive project. Neither Square Enix nor PlatinumGames has revealed much about the title, leaving fans to speculate about what it will include. Since Babylon's Fall was teased back at E3 2018, gamers have only seen brief glimpses of the game. The last time it was shown off was at Sony's State of Play event in 2019, which featured a short trailer for the mysterious title. Other than confirming that Babylon's Fall is still in development and giving a brief look at its decidedly PlatinumGames-style combat, the developer has not revealed any substantial information about it.

Square Enix has confirmed the lineup for its showcase at the Tokyo Game Show later this month, with Gematsu translating the company's entire schedule from its Japanese site. Among the games that the publisher will present from September 23rd are a collection of Dragon Quest titles, Final Fantasy XIV, Marvel's Avengers, and most intriguingly of all, Babylon's Fall. The mysterious title from PlatinumGames, which is listed for PC and PlayStation 4, was the first game that Square Enix announced for the virtual event, along with Balan Wonderworld. Unfortunately, there's no indication of how much Babylon's Fall will be featured or what fans will get to see.

Like many other conventions and presentations this year, the physical part of Tokyo Game Show 2020 has been canceled. In its place, the organizers are running a virtual event that will be streamed online across a variety of platforms, including YouTube and Twitch. Fans still have plenty to look forward to, with reports indicating that companies like Microsoft will have big news to share during the digital Tokyo Game Show. With next-gen consoles just around the corner, there should be plenty of other announcements when the event begins at the end of September.

While Babylon's Fall attracted a lot of attention when it was first announced, this is largely because of the fact it was being developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. After all, very little has ever been revealed about Babylon's Fall, so it will be exciting to get a better look at the project and hopefully have the developer explain more about the title and when players can expect to play it.
