Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for SpiritedThe Christmas movie Spirited is a fun musical with a soundtrack full of original songs. A new take on Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, the Scrooge-inspired story follows Clint (Ryan Reynolds) as he is visited by Jacob Marley (Patrick Page) and the Ghosts of Christmas Past (Sunita Mani), Present (Will Ferrell), and Yet To Come (Tracy Morgan). Like most adaptations of A Christmas Carol, Spirited's central theme is changing someone from bad to good, but this musical version is told from the unique perspective of the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Streaming exclusively on Apple TV+ following a brief theatrical release, Spirited continues Will Ferrell's venture into musicals following Netflix's Eurovision Song Contest and marks his first Christmas movie since Elf. For Ryan Reynolds, Spirited is new territory, as he has never been in a musical or a Christmas movie before. The two comedic actors perform several songs written by Sean Anders and John Morris, the co-writers of Hot Tub Time Machine, We're The Millers, and Daddy's Home. Here are all the songs on the Spirited soundtrack in order of their appearance in the Christmas movie.

When Each Song Plays In Spirited

Ryan Reynolds Spirited

"That Christmas Morning Feelin'" by Will Ferrell, Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Tracy Morgan, and The Spirited Ensemble - Spirited's first musical number comes after the successful Christmas haunting of Ms. Blansky (Rose Byrne). Led by Will Ferrell's singing as Present, the Ghosts and their crew celebrate bringing Christmas cheer to Blansky and her community at their workshop as the opening credits roll.

"Present's Lament" by Will Ferrell - while the haunting workers carry on their celebrations, Present has an existential crisis when he is given the option to retire as a haunter and have another shot at life. Present kids himself that he needs to keep doing his job, but really he is just worried that he'll mess up his life again like he did last time.

"Bringin' Back Christmas" by Ryan Reynolds and The Spirited Ensemble - Clint's first song comes during his guest speaker speech at the National Association of Christmas Tree Growers conference. Ryan Reynolds's movie star charm shines through as Clint pushes his cynical view of the world and convinces attendees to create a hate-fueled divide between buyers of real Christmas trees and artificial ones.

"The View From Here" by Octavia Spencer - Clint gets a visit from his introverted niece, Wren (Marlow Barkley), and reluctantly agrees to help her campaign to become student council president. Clint asks his assistant, Kimberly (Spencer), to dig up dirt on Wren's election rival, leading Kimberly to question her career choice.

"The Story of Your Life (Marley's Haunt)" by Patrick Page and Ryan Reynolds - Jacob Marley kicks off Clint's haunting with an elaborate song at his apartment. This sets up the visits of the three Ghosts, but Clint questions why he's being haunted.

"Good Afternoon" by Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, and The Spirited Ensemble — when Spirited reveals that Present is actually Ebenezer Scrooge in this adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Clint and Present journey to Britain in the 1800s. Clint encourages Present, who hasn't offended anyone in centuries, to let out his bottled-up rage. "Good Afternoon" is Spirited's most whimsical song and is topped off with a Judi Dench cameo.

"The Story of Your Life (Clint's Pitch)" by Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell - as Present shows Clint what his life could be, Clint argues that he's showing him the human life that the Ghost wants, not the one Clint wants. Present is clearly in love with Kimberly, and Clint volunteers to set the two up.

"Unredeemable" by Will Ferrell and The Spirited Ensemble - after making Clint relive the trauma of declining his dying sister's last wish, Present admits that he isn't sure whether he can ever be redeemed for his life as Ebenezer Scrooge. To right his past wrongs, Present chooses to retire as a Christmas spirit and take his second chance at life.

"The View From Here (Riverwalk)" by Octavia Spencer and Will Ferrell - now human, Present finds Kimberly and the two go on a romantic walk. Present still has doubts about whether he will go back to his jerk ways, but is hopeful that he will change with Kimberly, and the pair kiss.

"Do A Little Good" by Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, and Tracy Morgan - Spirited ends with Clint proving he has changed when he saves Present from an oncoming bus. The now best friends celebrate in the streets of New York City with Jacob Marley and the other Christmas Ghosts.

"That Christmas Morning Feelin' (Curtain Call)" by Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, and The Spirited Ensemble - Clint shockingly dies in Spirited's final moments and becomes the new Ghost of Christmas Present. Clint visits Present, who now has a family with Kimberly, and asks for advice on a new haunting candidate before breaking the fourth wall to reprise "That Christmas Morning Feelin'".
