Tom Holland jokes that he pitched a passionate Spider-Man sex scene to Marvel. After seeing his secret identity revealed to the world and getting framed for murder, Holland's Peter Parker will finally return for a new adventure with this year's Spider-Man: No Way Home. Once again directed by Jon Watts, the latest installment is also expected to feature other familiar faces from the MCU franchise, including Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei. Additionally, though it has yet to be officially confirmed, all signs so far indicate Spider-Man: No Way Home will dive into the Marvel multiverse in a major way.

Ever since his first appearance in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Holland has charmed audiences with his portrayal of nerdy and noble Peter. Though many still give credit to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for their own performances as Spider-Man, Holland quickly jumped to the top of many people's Spidey rankings. Spider-Man: No Way Home could be his last solo movie as the famed web-slinger, so it's good to know he's already made his mark on the part.

In honor of Holland's birthday on Tuesday, British radio station Capital posted a snippet of an old interview with the actor from 2017, right before Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted in theaters. In the TikTok (via Tom Holland News), Holland discussed the collaborative process he shared with Marvel, as he pitched various ideas for the movie. "A lot of them they were like, 'No, dude, that's a terrible idea,'" Holland acknowledged with a laugh, though he added that some did make it in. When pressed for the ideas that were rejected, he joked, "Those scenes are like, 'I think we should have a really passionate sex scene,' and they're like, 'No, I don't think so!'"

A sex scene would certainly be one way to distinguish Holland's Spider-Man from Maguire's and Garfield's. While certain portions of Holland's fanbase might love to see one, it's all but certain Spider-Man: No Way Home won't see Peter getting down and dirty. In fact, if those multiverse rumors prove to be correct, Peter will have his hands full with a massive rogues gallery. The latest reports suggest Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin will be the main villain, so there's a lot more at stake in Spidey's life.

Spider-Man is the role that turned Holland into a household name, and there's a great deal of excitement surrounding his next outing as the MCU character. Where he will go after Spider-Man: No Way Home remains to be seen, but Holland has said he would love to play Peter for as long as he's allowed to. As the above clip shows, he's very enthusiastic about portraying the beloved superhero. It's probably safe to say fans would like to see him play Spider-Man for a long time too, so fingers crossed Marvel has more in store for him.
